About this listing
Go with the flow and experience the wonderful people and healing of the active, yet peaceful "Circus." A house where a hostel meets motel meets something unlike either of those things.
This reservation will put you in the coral room.
Room 1: "The Coral Room". upstairs to the left. includes a desk, dresser, chair, full bed, night stand. Shared bath.
This house is located within a five bedroom house, two bathroom house in historic Hyde Park in Kansas City, Missouri. This house offers a beautiful kitchen, comfortable porch swing, a growing vegetable garden, peaceful backyard, large living room with working fireplace.
It is within five to ten minutes of Westport, the Plaza, downtown, 39th street, and Brookside. Easy bus line access, Troost/39th Street.
I call my house "The Circus" because of all the coming and going that happens around there. (I'm also a clown). It is not uncommon for there to be a meditation circle or rehearsal for a play in the living room or upstairs. It is a peaceful place, filled with healing.
Living Room, Sitting Room, Kitchen, Front Porch, Back Porch, Yard, Sunroom, Meditation Studio (if available), basement/laundry, house pets!
Interaction with Guests
You become one of the house when staying here. I travel frequently, but love to chat with guests when I am around. I also am open to doing any healing work with you!
(mostly) Quiet streets with big beautiful trees.
Like any city, Kansas City can be dangerous, although I find the neighborhood to be comfortable, be aware of the block to block nature, and lock your cars.
Easy access to the Troost and 39th street bus lines.
About 25 minutes driving from airport. Super Shuttle is a great company to use if you're not renting a car.
About 8 minutes from the the Union station (trains).
About 15 minutes from the MEGABUS Station.
About 10 minutes from the greyhound system.

My boyfriend and I stopped in KC as a halfway stopping point in our trip, and the Coral Room was perfect for a rejuvenating rest before getting back on the road! We didn't get a chance to meet Hailey, but everyone in the house was very pleasant. A nice, home-y place.
Cute home in nice area. We stayed here one short night on a cross-country road trip. Would stay again!
The house is beautiful. My only complaint is that the door is difficult to figure out.
What a wonderful place in a great area! I felt so refreshed after staying the night. Would definitely stay here again!
Never actually met host but it was a great place to stay. I had my own car and stopped driving cross country. Love the vibe. Very spiritual and respectful of the earth. Make sure you're not allergic to cats as there's one around he house. I didn't check out Kc at all but the house was really awesome. I stayed in room 1.
Hailey's house was charming and welcoming, in a really neat
KC neighborhood. It felt like home, and I appreciated all that she did to make sure we had the information we needed to enjoy our stay!
Pros: Nice neighborhood, friendly host, house is nice.
Cons: Mattress could be comfier but for a short stay it is fine

About the Host, Hailey
Hello. Hi. Namaste. Nice to meet you. I'm glad you're here!
It is my mission to provide the comfort of a home (and an affordable lodging option) for travelers. It is also my mission to find places like such for myself on the road.
I intend bring laughter and (physical) storytelling whenever I go, as they are after all the universal languages. :0)
Everywhere I go I work at as clown, teacher, actor, creator, healer. I also have a strong meditation practice, that often involves intuitive healing (working with energy, holistic medicine, spirit communication, deep listening, etc.).
I have a deep love for united community (people taking care of people)
And places/homes that smell of incense.
'The Circus' is my home, the one which you might stay. :0)
I travel frequently (so you might not meet me directly, at least at the home anyway-- but it's likely you'll feel like you have).
I have a wonderful friend, Laura, who helps care for the house when I'm away (you're likely to be interacting with us both through Airbnb).
There are also a couple of awesome long term guests there.
The house and the people in it are all dear to me.
So it is my home you'll find family/friendship in the house as I have over the years!
I look forward to when our paths cross!
