Great Pool House in Chapel Hill, just seven miles from UNC and 15 miles from DUKE. 1,100 sf; 1 Bedroom with Queen Bed, large living room with large screen TV, Security System, pool from May to Sept, Great for Graduations, Parent's Weekends, BBall & Football weekends. Kitchen with Microwave, Dishwasher, Fridge, and grill outside.
Beautiful park-like setting, on five acres. Very private, and peaceful. Beautiful nature, and birds, hard to believe we are only five miles from town! We also have full court basketball. You won't find anything like it in Chapel Hill.
Guests have access to just about everything they may need.
We will meet guests upon arrival and make sure they have everything they need. During summer, our family will still use the pool during rental periods, but pool house will be entirely for rental guests. We will provide a key and separate code to the security system.
A little bit country... we are directly across the street from a charming country church in a country setting, so be prepared for nature and serenity. If you have an aversion to using filtered well water, and experiencing nature outside to include deer, bat and fox sightings, just to name a few, then our home is not for you. But if you enjoy nature, and serenity, and want to get away with easy access to the amenities of town, then ours is a perfect stop for you.
We are just outside city limits of Chapel Hill, and only 3 miles from the center of Carrboro.
You really need a car to get around; however, there is ample parking at the house.
The pool house is equipped with Direct TV, WIFI, Security system, full-size refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, full bathroom, granite countertops, small convection over, coffee maker, microwave, grill, two tvs. We have one queen bed in the bedroom, additional sleeping available on air mattress and sofa.
The house is beautiful and it is exactly what it looks like in the photo. The house is spacious and basically has everything you need. Lean is very nice, helpful and responsive. We had great time there and would love to recommend it to others.
My boyfriend and I had a wonderful time! The pool house felt just like home and was convenient to everything we needed, although off the beaten path enough to feel as though we were far away!
I loved the couch and the TV - it was a great place to chill out and relax.
Leah was wonderful about making sure we had everything we needed as well. I would definitely return!
My family and I spent the winter holidays in the Pool House and it was a perfect home away from home. The space was impeccably clean, very roomy with high ceilings and enormous windows that look out onto a beautiful wooded area with deer. Leah was an excellent host and was very responsive to our questions. She even decorated the place for the season and left us treats, fresh fruit and lots of helpful info and maps for local attractions! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend the Pool House the any visitors planning a trip to the in the Chapel Hill area.
This was the perfect setting for our Thanksgiving weekend. My husband and I stayed at the pool house while visiting our daughter and son in law in Carrboro. Their house was busy with our other children and grandchildren. We were able to get away each evening, have a quiet restful night, and return to the "busy house" refreshed and ready for the day. Thanks Leah for making it so inviting.
Leah and Dean greeted us warmly when we arrived. The Pool House is beautiful! They thought of everything to make this the perfect home away from home. Paper products, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent; luxurious soaps, shampoos, and creams were so thoughtful. Fresh flowers, fruits, snacks and coffee awaited us in the well appointed kitchen. Leah knew we were going to a football game at UNC and had printed the directions to the parking lots. She also shared menus and directions to local restaurants. We are planning to stay here anytime we visit the Chapel Hill area.
Thank you so much for all the extras you did to make this the perfect home away from home!

We absolutely loved staying at the pool house and having Leah as a host. There are so many things we enjoyed---it was close to Chapel Hill and directions were simple. The pool house is large, well equipped, and very comfortable. We had our own kitchen and didn't have to go out to meals all the time. With prior permission from Leah, we could even invite guests to have a quiet lunch with us. The beds were comfortable, the house clean and decorated really nice, and we loved the quiet, beautiful woods. Leah is a wonderful host, a really nice person and made the process of staying there easy. I would go back anytime and think Airbnb is the greatest find since apple pie!
Leah was a great host for our two days in Chapel Hill. The pool house was spacious and had all of the amenities we could ask for. Leah greeted us upon arrival and checked in with us each day. Thank you Leah and all the best!
While it was post pool season at The Pool House, it was the perfect place to escape for a weekend. The location is quietly tucked away and the house itself is organized, clean, comfortable, gorgeous and welcoming. I also felt warmly welcomed via by Leah (electronically) and her husband on-site. What a gift! I hope to host them in the future at my DC retreat!
While visiting our daughter and family, we spent a few days at the Pool House. It was beautiful with all of the comforts of home. Our only regret was not meeting Leah since she was out of town, but we talked to her on the phone and she was very pleasant and helpful. We hope to book the Pool House the next time we come to Chapel Hill and meet Leah, our gracious host. For anyone interested in booking the Pool House, just know that you will love it.
Staying at Leah's pool house was perfect for my girlfriends and I when we came back to Chapel Hill for a college reunion. Although we spent most of our time up on campus, the house had every amenity you could want for your stay: a huge comfortable couch, a flat screen TV, a cute kitchenette (complete with complimentary wine, snacks and coffee from Leah!), clean sheets and towels, a large clean bathroom (complete with an assortment of products!) & even a full court basketball court in the driveway for those who want to shoot some hoops. Checking in was a breeze (she just met us when we arrived and showed us around) and then we dropped the keys right off on our way out.
In short, I want to live at Leah's house permanently :) But alas, I will just have to rebook next time I visit Chapel Hill.
THANKS LEAH! :)
