Nice little flat in the heart of Paris. Short walking distance from two Metro stations and the Orsay Museum. Enjoyed our stay!
This apartment was perfect for our needs (it was my husband, our oldest child, and I). Flavia is an excellent host--she was very gracious to us. She met us and showed us around the apartment. She has made a folder with suggested restaurants and locations to procure cheese, bread, etc. The apartment is clean and well appointed. You walk in a large red door from the street and up an awesome old wooden staircase--allows you to understand what might be behind all the other mysterious doors in Paris. The location can't be beat! We walked to just about everything (but know that you can walk all day in Paris to get to all the sights). There are several metro stations within a 5-10 minute walk as well. The bed was very comfortable and the couch in the sitting room pulls out to a comfortable bed as well (so says our 11 year old). We used the kitchen, and it had everything we needed. We used the washer as well--no dryer, but there is a drying rack and clothespins. There is a clever shower and sink "room" (which had to be adapted to this old world building). I would absolutely stay in Flavia's apartment again if we get a chance to return to Paris. Thank you for allowing us to stay!
Flavia and her apartment were awesome! It was so easy staying at her place - she was waiting with the key, provided directions and guides, and had everything in the apartment that was needed for our stay including, towels, hairdryer, adapters, electric kettle, etc.
The apartment is perfectly placed, with the Seine only 5-10 walk as is Musee d'Orsay . Restaurants and bars are plentiful around the apartment. Sadly we didn't manage to try Graff restaurant on Rue Bellechasse despite strong recommendations. Cannot fault the apartment, for those of you wanting a centrally located apartment in a lovely neighbourhood we strongly recommend it.
The apartment was exactly as advertised: Clean, charming and well equipped. My wife and I spent three nights in March 2014 and it was a perfectly place to stay while visiting Paris. We met Flavia and she was a wonderful host.
The apartment is lovely! Small, very clean, nice details. It's in a really great location. . . walking distance to so many things (a 10 minute walk to the Louevre and Musee D'Orsay museums for example). Nice and safe too, thanks to being located near many embassies. Lots to do in the immediate vicinity, like grocery shop, pub, etc. The apartment buildling doesn't have an elevator, so just be aware of that when packing (it's a 3rd floor flat) or if stairs are a problem for you. Also, the pull-out couch in living room isn't comfortable, but otherwise it's a perfect place for a couple. Would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.
Great location, spacious, old world classy and importantly- clean. Comfortable and clean bed. Check in was easy, though no one was there to great me.The basic amenities; iron, kitchen basics etc were all there and the building is really beautiful.
Prime quiet location right in the center of (website hidden) probably does not get much better as far location.
Our 3 night stay at Flavia's apartment was wonderful. There was easy check-in and check-out. The bed was very comfortable. The shower had great water pressure/temperature. The kitchen was small but we didn't get to use it much. There is a convenient washer for your clothes (no laundry dryer). Flavia thought of everything you would need (hair dryer, umbrellas, extra blankets, multiple adapters/transformers, laundry soap, etc).
The building itself is beautiful. There are 3 flights of winding stairs to the apartment (no elevator) but we were totally fine with it and had no trouble with our luggage.
The location of the apartment is perfect. We walked everywhere - to the Musee d'orsay, the Louvre, Notre Dame, St Germain district, Latin Quarter, Marais district, etc. We did not use the metro at all! I also recommend taking the RER train from the airport to the apartment (9.75 euros each person, compared to 65 euros per car!). The RER C orsay stop is only a few blocks away from the apartment.
We highly recommend Chez Graffe restaurant which is down the street (small restaurant, majority are locals but one waiter speaks fluent English and was very nice, DELICIOUS food, highly recommend the steak, very reasonable prices for Paris). Also there is a nice cafe for breakfast/lunch/espresso two block away called Les Ambassades (mostly locals, primarily French speaking, knows very little English, reasonable prices).
In short, we agree with the raving reviews below We highly recommend that you book this apartment on your next trip to Paris! We hope to return in the future.
This was a perfect AirBNB stay and I would highly recommend this stylish apartment to anyone who would like the full Parisian experience. The apartment itself is as good as it looks in the photos with wonderful art and décor. It is exceptionally clean and comfortable and every tiny detail is covered (including the coffee machine for the much-needed morning caffeine). The kitchen had everything we needed. The housekeeper was friendly and brought over extra sheets (as I forgot to mention that I was travelling with a friend -- rather than a partner -- and would like to use both beds). The street was impressive but also quiet and it felt safe. I would love to stay here again.
