The apartment is nice. Centrally located, within walking distance of everything. Flavia made everything easy and convenient. Good host.
We met the previous occupants a little confusion existed around check in procedure. Area is lovely , walking distance to all major attractions.
The apartment is nice and was just as described. We enjoyed the flat itself and the location is quite central to all of the tourist attractions. I also very much appreciated the guidebooks and tourist advice left on the main table for guests. The stairs are a bit slippery but we were prepared for the walk-up from the description so we had no problems there. The reason for the lower stars though was that we had a few issues with checkin and checkout that certainly put a damper on our stay. Flavia advised that the key would be left by the housekeeper at around 12/1230 (our arrival time) but when we called him, he stated he would not be there until 2 hours after our arrival. He was quite helpful and had his son meet us, but when we did arrive, a contractor was in the apartment and was in the middle of fixing the shower (he obviously was not informed of our arrival). He had to stop his work when we arrived and we were told we could not use the shower until about 8pm that evening because the plaster now on the shower floor needed to dry. As you can imagine, after traveling for so long we were quite disappointed to not have a shower. Also, there was no clear checkout procedure. Flavia advised that the key was vert expensive, and since she was out of town, it would have been helpful to know where to leave it. We had also asked Flavia for a place to store our bags after checkout before arriving in Paris with no answer. We asked again about where to store our bags after checking out of the apartment while we were in Paris and were told to ask the housekeeper who in turn told us to ask Flavia. After checking out, I would make your own arrangements for bag storage as I found the other reviews on this issue to be contrary to our experience. In the end, everything worked out as we randomly bumped into the next set of people staying at the apartment while leaving to get coffee. We were able to pass them the key, but had that random event not occurred, I'm afraid they would have been stranded for some time with no recourse. Overall, I found this experience to be unorganized and a bit chaotic compared to other Airbnbs I have stayed at over the years.
My friend and I had a great experience staying at Flavia's apartment. When we arrived, she was at the door waiting patiently for us. We walked in and she gave us a quick tour of her apartment. She has a flexible check in time, the apartment looked like the pictures, it was clean, there was wifi, the apartment was centrally located, private, quiet, & it's location is in a very safe neighborhood. Something I'd like to point out is that it tended to get uncomfortably hot at night. To solve that problem, I opened the window. In the morning I was itching from mosquito bites. Luckily, she had bug repellant. One more thing, there is no elevator so you have to go up 4 flights of stairs. Wasn't easy with a heavy suitcase but we managed. Also, the stairs are very slippery! Overall, we were comfortable & that's what counts. Next time I go to Paris, I might just stay at Flavia's Airbnb again!
Flavia was VERY welcoming and had many tips for travelers which was helpful. The apartment was as described - quintessentially french. Location was wonderful for the tourist. So many great things to see in walking distance or by bike (Velib rental only a block from apartment). Lots of great cafes and great shopping on St. Germain. Would highly recommend.
The apartment was exactly what we were looking for and had hoped for. It certainly lived up to our expectations: well situated in a lovely central location in a good neighbourhood, with bars, restaurants, shops in close proximity. We really appreciated the helpful information that Flavia provided about visiting Paris, taxis etc and her welcoming touches. We hope to return for another visit in the not too distant future!
This is a very nice apartment in a very nice, safe, quiet environment. We can find useful travel guide books and information in Flavia's flat.
Everything we need can find in kitchen, even we can find some cookbook about cooking Indian, Thai and Chinese food. All in all this is a very tidy and nice apartment to travelers!
