The place was as described and in a fantastic location. Flavia was relatively responsive.
Flavia was out of town, so unfortunately we didn't get to meet her. I thought it was nice that she was very responsive through AirBnb and checked in with us to make sure everything was ok. She accommodated to our travel plans since we were coming from San Francisco, so that was great! My fiancé and I were able to work with her housekeeper, Julius, and he was also very nice, helpful, and responsive.
The location is in a super safe neighborhood, and quite spacious for Paris compared to other places. There is no elevator, so just beware when you bring luggage but we didn't mind.
A few things I'd note:
the windows wouldn't close- and one night it was fairly windy so there was slamming every so often. I'm not sure what we would have done if it rained.
The towels were clean, but very old and crispy (or rough), so I would recommend a few new ones since guests are using them so often.
The amenities were all there- blow dryer, iron, etc. but they were also somewhat old.
Overall, we still liked the place! Thanks, Flavia!
Excellent location in the heart of Paris. Open and responsive host, with good tips on transportation etc. Lots of light in the apartment, and nevertheless quiet at night (no street noise). A place to return to.
The apartment is perfectly matching to the photos,it is bright and quiet. Everything was arranged before the stay, not to mention some small but important things like coffee (especially when you are after long flight). There are two nice restaurants 1 minute walk from the apartment and it is close to Musée d'Orsay.
Excellent place to stay at while visiting Paris.
A lovely apartment with everything you need, conveniently located in a safe neighborhood.
We loved our stay in Flavia's apartment. As others have noted, its location is perfect, very central, and there are good restaurants, bakeries, cafes within a short walk. Due to all the government-related buildings nearby, there are always guards around too, which adds to your sense of safety even though Paris didn't really feel unsafe to me at any time anyway.
The apartment itself is perfect. It's light and bright, windows in every room. I appreciated the separate living room, the kitchen has all the basics, the linens were lovely, good quality cotton. The apartment is decorated simply, and I loved Flavia's art and furniture choices.
Only flaws: the tiles in the shower compartment may need a refresher soon, and I had trouble with the pillows which are fluffy and insubstantial - I would have liked a firmer pillow. The pillow is a matter of personal preference though, but worth bearing in mind if you are prone to getting a bad neck with the wrong type of pillow -- so bring your own! I would have liked the bed to be a tad firmer too, but again that is personal preference.
We did not meet Flavia as she was in Rome, but she was very responsive to the few questions we emailed her during our stay.
Great place in a great location! Very quite and easy to relax. Convenient for all sites and close to excellent restaurants. Would recommend to anyone visiting Paris.
