it was pleasure to us to stay here. everything was great thanks for great time spending in your house. highly recomend!
This place was better than expected! The building was well maintained, clean, warm, and welcoming. Expect comfort and peace while you stay! Absolutely beautiful.
Puna Rain Forest hält definitiv was der Name verspricht.
We had reserved a two night stay, but needed a place to stay a day earlier. The Leonards responded quickly to our request in the early evening, and accommodated us right away (greatly appreciated). The place is more geographically isolated than I expected, and has minimal or no cell service (this was described). The wifi was fairly weak and unreliable in our cabin (too far from the router?). The cabin is essentially a small but complete bathroom and a larger room with a comfortable bed, table and 2 chairs, and kitchenette. It was very clean and comfortable, but not well lit outside, in the dark (off the electric grid, also known). Friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Perfect little cabin in the jungle. Beautifully kept and well thought out. Everything and more than we expected.
This was my second stay at the Green Bamboo. It is well appointed and comfy.
Very nice location -- extremely quiet. The cabin was excellent, and the location convenient for east-coast activities.
The dogs were very friendly, and no trouble. I thought there might be mosquitos, but there were none.

Aloha, George and Barbara moved to Pahoa in 2008 to enjoy the peaceful rural Puna area. We enjoy hosting guests from other places and making new friends. We owned an award-winning B&B (2004 TripAdvisor Top Ten B&Bs in the USA) and are now managing four vacation rentals. We provide a kitchenette in each rental so you can cook your own meals. We provide coffee, tea, fruit and biscotti for your first morning with us. We think you will enjoy the central location of our property and will have easy access to the Puna beaches, Pahoa town, Volcanoes National Park and Mauna Kea Observatory Visitors' Center. Let us know if you would like to plan an event with a group.
We recently purchased a second home in Gulfport, Florida near St. Pete Beach and wish to share the apartment in the back with our guests! Come visit us in Sunny Florida as well as in Hawaii!
