The Space

Come relax, unwind, and enjoy a truly unique experience in a 1860's farmhouse, situated in a verdant, park-like setting, on the banks of the Conestoga River, just 4 miles east of downtown Lancaster.

My husband and I live in an old farmhouse on the edge of Amish country. We came here from NYC five years ago and have had the rare opportunity to get to know and appreciate the local culture and customs.

This lovely old home is shaded by giant maple trees. Downstairs includes a large updated kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry and half-bath.
Bedrooms are upstairs, along with shared family bathroom.

Your airy private bedroom comes with a queen-size bed, fresh linens, towels, dresser, writing table, chair, ceiling fan, A/C.

Share the large upstairs bathroom with your hosts.

More charms exist outside. This beautiful wooded property includes flower and vegetable gardens, private yard for outdoor dining, a double-wide hammock, a breezy covered veranda with porch swing, settee, chairs; perfect for reading, napping, and watching a horse and buggy go by. A short stroll brings you to our river bank, where you can snooze, watch birds, kayak or fish.

Your stay includes full breakfast with many delicious options.

Free off-street parking.

  • Tina was a great host. The reason we picked this airbnb was for the tours of the Amish Farmlands. We were not disappointed, nothing was too much trouble for Tina, she also made us dinner on 2 nights which was delicious. Tina's husband John was also very nice, giving us a tour of his woodworking workshop and a walk down by the river. A truly relaxing experience.

  • We had a wonderful fall weekend in Lancaster. Tina & John were great hosts and fun and interesting to talk with over breakfast (which was delicious!). They also had lots of tips about places to visit and things to see around Lancaster Co. The property is beautiful and very relaxing, yet conveniently close to downtown. We were very satisfied with our stay!

  • I found Tina and John to be wonderful hosts. They host the same way I would. It is not a good idea to base your main day in Lancaster on a Sunday, as most businesses are closed due to Amish traditions. I would highly recommend.
