The location of the flat is perfect. When you leave the house you find many bars and restaurants and to the next city Beach you have to walk only a few minutes. If you travel by car, as we did, you have to consider, that you have to park your car at the hourbour, what is aber 10 min by feet. The alleys of cefalu are were tight so it is the best to leave the car outside of the old town. The highlight of this flat is the roof-deck with its wonderful ocean view. The rest of the flat is small but comfortable, perfect for a couple. The check-in with Geatano, Ileanas father, was without any problems. He explains everything you have to know for your stay, so we didn't had any further questions during our stay.

Staying in Cefalù was one of our best choices for our vacation in Sicily. The apartment was super clean and nice. We loved how cozy it was. It is a bit smaller than we thought but it was still a very good place to stay. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Response from Ileana:
Grazie di tutto. Entro quest'anno faremo delle piccole modifiche all'appartamento che lo renderanno....un poco più grande. Ileana

The apartment is perfectly located in the outskirts of the old town and everything you want to discover in Cefalu is nearby. The neighbourhood also has an authentic feel to it, which we really liked. The view from the terrace is very nice - you have the sea in front of you - and we enjoyed many breakfasts and dinners to the sound of the waves. We also appreciated the view from the kitchen from where you see the lighthouse and the road that leads to the port. The apartment in itself is small, but has everything you would need. The communication with our host Ileana was super smooth the whole way and on arrival we were welcomed by Ileanas father Gaetano, who was very helpful, kind and service minded. We are very happy with our stay!

We had a great stay in Ileana's apartment in Cefalù! Gaetano, Ileana's father, welcomed us and even helped carry the suitcase up the quite steep stairs. He was very friendly. The terrace is very nice and gives the extra space to the small, but cosy apartment. And it has a beautiful view if the ocean right in front. The location, a little on the outskirts of the old town, was perfect for us! Everything is nearby.

Ileana was not there to meet us at the place but I believe it was her father. We were only in Cefalu for 2 nights but the apartment was perfect for 2 people. It is in a great location, close to the main beach but in the area that isn't full of tourists. It has a small but nice view of the ocean and the balcony is great for a vino at the end of the day. As I mentioned the apartment was great for 2 people with clean bathroom and kitchen facilities. The house contact was also very helpful in finding us a carpark which is a treasure in this area! I would recommend this apartment for anyone in the future!

Cefalu is a fantastic place to visit (try climbing the rock to the ruined castle) and Ileana's place is the best place to stay. it's right in the old town and 10 minutes to the main beach, but if you prefer quieter: immediately outside the front door there's a doorway in the old walls takes you down to the rocky shore where you have the sea to yourself even in July. A useful food shop just round the corner; and all the restaurants nearby. As the other reviews have said, the apartment is cosy (small); the ceiling slopes down over the bed and in the bathroom; and you climb 3 flights of stairs to get to it; but the balcony is perfect for meals at home, with a view of the sea; you have a view of the lighthouse from the kitchen window and everything is brilliantly designed and clean and welcoming. Gaetano welcomed us in and we met Ileana later; communications were good even though they have only a little English and we are sorry that we have no Italian. Even so they went out of their way to be helpful: e.g. we were travelling without a car (backpacking) and moving on to another place in Cefalu, only because Ileana's was pre-booked; and they put themselves out to let us leave our luggage their till the afternoon. Definitely recommend Mansarda ... as your retreat in old Cefalu
