First off-- Diane was very helpful in giving us directions to get us to her door when my GPS proved a little confusing. She is a warm and friendly host, willing to talk and listen to your stories, and offer helpful advice on everything in the area, from transportation options to restaurants to shopping.
Unlike some other hosts, Diane offered breakfast every day. Although we did not accept breakfast on the first day of our 3-day visit, I wish we had: she offers very fresh fruit, excellent coffee, eggs and English muffins!
The guest bed and bath offers great privacy, but Diane, with her breakfast table and sunny, plant-filled balcony, is there for conversation when you want it. The bed is large and comfy, the bathroom spotless and full of fluffy towels and amenities, and there is good wi-fi and a printer available, and TV (which we did not use).
Amazing. That's all I can say. Diane opened her home to me during my first AirBnB experience and it was more than I could have expected. She doesn't just invite people to take advantage of her spare room. No. She's got the host thing down, leaving you wanting for nothing -- wireless, TV, toiletries (if you need them), bottled water, coffee, breakfast (which I didn't take advantage of but imagine is as great as everything else here). Thanks, Diane!
My visit last week was a return to my "Home Away from Home." I was again very pleased with the hospitality, accomodations, everything. I will always look to my "Home Away from Home" first when booking my next trip to Bethesda.
I had such a restful, pleasant stay. The apartment is minutes away from the metro, an easy walk. The suite is very well appointed with two comfortable reading chairs and an excellent reading light. The breakfast was delicious, with a view of tree tops and flowering geraniums on Diane's balcony. I hope to return before too long.
We absolutely loved staying with Diane over the weekend. It really felt like home. Diane was very kind and welcoming, we really felt like we were visiting a friend. Will definitely recommend to all my friends and would love to stay there again next time I am in the area!
Diane was great. I actually didn't book the room until around five the evening I was staying there but Diane was very accommodating of my schedule and when I was arriving. The room was great with lots of space and all the personal care items I would need if I had forgotten something. She is very friendly but also gave me space when I needed it. And that she offers breakfast in the morning was a great surprise. Overall, I highly recommend staying with her.
