About this listing
Large bedroom in 2-bedroom apartment in the heart of Williamsburg in Brooklyn.
A large bedroom in a 2 bedroom full-floor in a spacious Williamsburg apartment, just off Bedford Avenue. The apartment has a kitchen, dining area with full-size dining table, lounge and bathroom. The bedroom itself has a queen-size bed, a large desk, a chest of drawers and A/C.
During your stay you will have access to the apartment's fully-equipped kitchen and lounge area. My flatmate is a relaxed and friendly 30yo Australian graduate student.
The apartment is in the heart of Williamsburg, just off Bedford Avenue, and is surrounded by an amazing assortment of shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs & music venues. Two minutes' walk to Peter Luger steakhouse, La Maison Premiere for oysters & cocktails, DuMont for burgers, Pies 'N' Thighs for southern food, Oslo and Black Brick for coffee, Smorgasburg for everything (a New York food fair that takes place every Saturday on the Williamsburg waterfront) and a crazy amount of dive bars. Ten minutes walk to the Wythe hotel's stunning rooftop bar, McCarren Park (with running track!), to the Grand Ferry park on the East River overlooking Manhattan, or to Williamsburg's countless vintage clothes stores along North 5th and North 6th Streets. Also in the area are an incredible number of music venues and clubs catering to all tastes: Music Hall of Williamsburg, Knitting Factory, Cameo Gallery, Output, Skinny Dennis and Baby's All Right to name a few.
The apartment is 2 minutes away from all amenities: supermarkets, pharmacies, laundromats, etc.
A 5 minute walk from the Bedford Ave stop on the L train and Marcy Ave stop for the J, M and Z. Bedford Ave is 10 minutes to Union Square on the L, so this is a perfect base from which to explore all of New York City. The apartment is right beside 3 or 4 Citibike stations and is a 2 minute bike ride to the base of the Williamsburg bridge, which is a beautiful 10 minute cycle (or 30 minute walk) to the Lower East Side, with fairly breath-taking views of Manhattan.
The apartment is also a 10 minute walk to the East River ferry, which goes to Manhattan and to the scenic DUMBO area of Brooklyn.
Also 10 minutes' walk away is the G train stop, which gives easy access to other parts of Brooklyn (Bedstuy, Fort Greene, Park Slope) and makes getting to Prospect Park really convenient--a must in summer!
My housemate (a 30yo Australian graduate student) will also be there at the same time, so please be nice and respectful.
Awesome apartment in a great neighbourhood. Very easy subway into Manhattan however there is so much to do in Williamsburg we stayed close by most of the time. Walking distance to awesome shops, bars and restaurants. Jerome and Simon were very accommodating and provided us with a document outlining all their favourite spots around Williamsburg, which we used all the time.
Great price, great location and reasonably comfortable. I would recommend this place if your looking for the Williamsburg experience, or you want quick access to Manhattan on the L train.
All good. Great neighborhood. All the cool bars, all the cool shops. Easy access. Great apartment and I would recommend this to all!!
