The Menil Collection, a world class museum, and The Rothko Chapel, on the University of St. Thomas' campus, are a only a few blocks away.
Also within walking distance are cafes and coffee shops including Brasil, Empire, Paulie's, Vinoteca Poscol, and many antique shops, art galleries and boutiques. A major grocery store is 4 blocks from the apartment. There are bus stops in the neighborhood that will take you just about anywhere in the city. Great neighborhood! Great host! We will certainly look to stay here for our future trips.
Nick was very warm and friendly and the Guest house is in a fabulous location in Houston. Parking is limited although we never had a problem parking in front of the the house. The house is modest but comfortable.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Nicholas' charming Montrose guest house. The accommodations were clean, cozy and just as described. I felt safe and comfortable walking my pup in the neighborhood. The guest house is conveniently walking distance to many coffee shops and restaurants. Nicholas checked in on us once and let us know we could contact him if we needed anything. Nicholas was super polite and gave us our privacy. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Wonderful location, nice little guest house, and very accommodating host. I felt instantly at home and at ease here! Plus, it's dog-friendly!
