Xavier's property is very well located. It's close to the Pelourinho neighborhood, but far enough that is quiet. The house is beautiful and has ocean views. Property is very clean.

As mentioned in the listing, Xavier no longer lives here and his ex-wife receives guests in the home. She is absolutely wonderful! I shared a couple of heartfelt conversations with her and she made me tea when I got sick from eating street food. The view from the room is stunning. In fact, it would be a perfect space to share with a partner. There's a lot of privacy and your own bathroom. The only challenges were check-in and internet. (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) doesn't recognize the address and brings you to the other end of the street. This has to do with a complicated numbering system, but made it difficult to find the correct address. As mentioned in other reviews, the Internet isn't super reliable, especially in the room. My stay was great overall, just make sure you get detailed directions before you arrive. It is a very beautiful and unique space and I'd definitely stay here again.

Yanelis is such a warm host! She moved us into out room and made us feel welcome. From your bed, you have a view is like none other of the sea--a little piece of paradise. The area of San Antonio has wonderful cafes, boutiques, galleries, and restaurants. In fact, There is a wonderful spot we ate at just next door on our first night. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to Pelourinho where you can find museums, even more galleries, shops, and nightlife. The home is also up the hill (about a 20 min walk) from Sao Joaquim Market, one of the oldest markets in Salvador. There you can purchase fresh produce, ceramics, jewelry, leather goods, musical instruments, sculptures, clothing, and hopefully catch the sunset! There's also a wonderful bread shop and antique shop just down the block. The room is more spacious that it appears in images and has wonderful privacy. A few nights we cooked and were so grateful to have access to the kitchen. Thank you for having us and looking forward to staying again!

Xavier's place is very nice ,clean and comfortable. It is well located close to some of the best sites in Salvador. I sent my young daughter and her friend to Salvador and she mentioned how nice and friendly Xavier and her family was. If I decide to go back to Salvador some time I will try to stay there myself.

Great location 10 minute walk to the Pelourinho. Xavier helped to arrange transportation from the airport which made arrival very easy. Rooms are clean and tidy. A good value for the money.

Hello, my name is Xavier, I'm french, and I'm 52 years old . I study history in france and then business and administration in Berkley (USA) Paris ( France) and Tokyo ( Japan). After working 10 years as an executive , I decided to change my life because i was allways waiting for hollydays to travel... Then I started travelling and travelling till I met my wife Yanelis who is cuban. We mooved to salvador 10 years ago. We have a nice 10 years old son and I' m waiting for him to be a little older to start traveling again, but this time with him...

I would love to be able to receive you home, because I love to share what I know about Bahia, but unfortunately, I now leave 500 kilometers away, in a paradise called vale do Capão located in the nice chapada diamantina a montagnous area. I recommend you to have a stay there, and yes, I can help if you want to visit the Capão area.

Because I'm living far away with my son, my wife, yanelis, will be the one who will receive you and help you home. As in '' hotel California'' song, it seems that she's program to receive … ( she love it so much...) She speaks French, Spanish and Portuguese and understand a little bit of English. She grown up in Cuba and her vision of salvador and the bahian society is really interesting. By the way, she knows very well Salvador and will be very pleased to share her knowledge with you.

I'll allways keep in touch with you by mail if you need

PORTUGUES
Bom dia, meu nome é Xavier, sou frances e tenho 52 anos .

cordialement xavier
