Interaction with Guests
We live in the home and are happy to offer sightseeing suggestions and advice. Interaction depends on the guests preference, but we greatly enjoy meeting and getting to know our guests!
Bernal Heights was voted America's hottest neighborhood! It has the best weather in San Francisco. It has the best views. It has a safe, friendly village feel to it. Our "main street" Cortland Avenue has a little of everything, including several world class restaurants. Right outside our door is Bernal Hill, a beautiful piece of parkland that affords a 360º view of San Francisco. Come here for sunrise, sunset or for star gazing! Don't miss our Alemany Market which becomes a fabulous Farmers Market on Saturdays and a Flea Market on Sundays.
The convenient MUNI 67 bus line stops right across the street and will take you to the 24th Street BART station in five minutes. BART will take you downtown in minutes. MUNI buses connect here to all points in the city including Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf, AT&T Park, all museums and city attractions.
STREET PARKING IS REALLY EASY AND FREE ON OUR STREET! Just be sure to read the street cleaning signs.
From SFO the least expensive option is a BART/MUNI ride which takes about 50 mins. A taxi/rental car will take about 20 mins.

This house is incredible! Jeannie and Skate are extremely lovely and welcoming - very accommodating to us booking the room two hours before flying into San Francisco! The house has everything you need, perfect location, excellent public transport, and Jeannie will surely answer any question you might have :) 10/10
We had a wonderful stay. Jeannie and Skate's place is a cornucopia of color and really well located. Check-in, communication, coming in and out of the house was a breeze. They're there just as much or as little as you need them. Can't recommend it enough.
Jeannie and Skate have a unique home, which is full of artistic and interesting touches, while still maintaining a homely and cosy feel, which helped us feel relaxed and welcome. The garden is incredible, set on many levels, with lots of cosy seating areas, plus Skate’s amazing water contraptions, and truly fabulous views over the city.
Jeannie helped us with any queries we had about the house or San Francisco in general, and also provided many recommendations on the best places to visit and also good restaurants.
There is a very convenient bus stop just across the road with a frequent reliable bus service, that takes you to the nearest BART interchange one way, or to nearby Cortland Street the other way, where there are shops and a good range of restaurants.
Jeannie and Skate are two of the warmest, loving and accommodating people I've ever met. Our stay was one we will never forget and I hope more than anything to have an opportunity to stay with them again. The rooms are full of personality and the views are un-matched; couldn't have asked for more.
Thank you for your hospitality. We had a lot of fun staying with you. You are so friendly to talk with us and very open to let us use the kitchen and the garden. We like sitting at the chair and see the nice view from your garden. Also we like the neiborhood. There are good coffee shops, restaurants, and supermarkets in Cortland St. We like walking around. On the first day we went up the hill and enjoyed the view. There are a lot of things to attract tourists there. It was nice to talk with you.
If we have chance to live in SFO, we live in this town. THank you! Kyoko
Jeannie and Skate are not only incredible hosts, but they are very special human beings. They're love for San Francisco is apparent when you enter their home, stroll through their garden haven or finger through their Bernal Heights guidebook. If this sounds like the experience you are looking for when you visit the city, then you should most definitely book with Jeannie and Skate.

Hi, We're Jeannie and Skate and we are looking forward to meeting you!
We love to host guests in our home. We want to provide our guests with privacy while also offering them travel and local recommendations based upon our over 30 years as San Franciscans. We always enjoy meeting new people and making new friends.
We like spending time in our garden and with our family, listening to live music, singing karaoke, eating good food, traveling to new and exciting destinations, snorkeling, camping, and sunshine.
One of our favorite things to do is to travel simply and affordably by either camping or staying in homes so that we get to really experience the culture and people of the region we are visiting.
For us Airbnb is a wonderful way to travel and meet new people while still staying at home!
