Central and welcoming 1-room apartment (35 sqm, 2nd floor with elevator) incl. quality furniture, perfectly located in the centre of Berlin (Mitte district).

The apartment is situated near the Rotes Rathaus (Red City Hall), Alexanderplatz, and the Nikolaiviertel - the historical origin of the city of Berlin. Using the apartment as a starting point you can quickly get to Checkpoint Charlie, Friedrichstrasse, Unter den Linden and Museum Island amongst others.

Additionally, you will find grocery stores for your daily needs right on your doorstep.

The apartment was completely renovated and tastefully furnished in 2011.

The apartment is elegantly decorated with accessories giving it a friendly and cosy atmosphere. Meals can be enjoyed at a dining table.

Fully equipped kitchen with a small cooker (2 hot plates), fridge, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, cutlery, dishes and kitchenware from wine glasses to frying pans: everything you need for a quick breakfast or a luxurious dinner. There is a little dining area in the living room for two people.

The flat has got free wireless LAN access (WiFi, WLAN). There is a flatsreen TV for your use. For you convinience there is an iron and ironing board, hair drier etc. There is a high tech intercom entrance system too. For your safety fire alarm boxes have been installed.

There is one double bed with pocket spring mattress (incl. high quality duvets and pillows). Of course you will get also high quality bedlinen and towels. The apartment has refined curtains of a high quality material, which block out the light. The compact newly tiled bathroom with a shower cabinet gives a smart impression.

In addition, a childrens' chair and a baby bed are available free of charge (should you wish them).

You will receive 2 sets of keys.

There is also the possibility to rent several apartment in the same house, so a little group or larger families can live together under one roof.

You will have a prime location directly in the city centre. You can reach all tourist attractions and events easily.

The apartment has got a superb location as it is situated near Alexanderplatz and the world famous television tower. This means you will be directly in the middle of all the cultural and political highlights of the city. Within walking distance you can reach the Government Quarter (Regierungsviertel) with its interesting architecture, theatres like Berliner Ensemble and the Friedrichstadtpalast, the Museum Island – listed as a World Cultural Hertige site – and other famous sights of the city like Unter den Linden boulevard, Alexanderplatz, Hackesche Höfe and many others. To mention them all would result in a small guidebook of Berlin!

The district of Mitte is definitely the district with the most tourist attractions in the whole city. The list of sights and historical buildings and squares, is endless. The Brandenburg Gate, a landmark both before and after reunification, is the most famous monument in Berlin. From here the magnificent boulevard Unter den Linden runs almost all the way to Alexanderplatz with its Television Tower and World Time Clock. On the way you will be passing the Humboldt University, the oldest university in Berlin, Staatsopera (the Operahouse), Museumsinsel (the Museum Island) and the site of the future Stadtschloss (town castle).

The Museumsinsel (Museum Island) is a World Heritage site. It is a treasure-trove of famous museums. Friedrichstrasse is today a commercial shopping boulevard with noble and grand shopping stores like Galerie Lafayette, Quartier Latin and various international couture boutiques. The street leads to Checkpoint Charlie, the main gateway for the Allied forces, non-Germans and diplomats before the wall came down - and then leads on further to Oranienburger Strasse.

The former Jewish quarter is nearby and is a very popular district for going out and very famous for its nightlife and hip young crowd. Nearby you will find the Neue Synagoge and the Hackesche Höfe. Gendarmenmarkt, which is said to be one of the most beautiful squares in Europe, is also not far away. Here you will find buildings like the Schauspielhaus as well as the German and French Cathedrals.

Berlin has an extensive network of public transport. Because of the very central location of the apartment, a lot of visitors leave their cars parked, or don't even bring them at all. Many of the tourist attractions are accessible by foot. Furthermore, the apartment has optimal public transport connections as it is located near the underground/urban train station Spitztelmarkt.

As stated above, major attractions like the Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmarkt and the famous boulevard Unter den Linden are reachable on foot.

How to get to the flat:

The nearest motorway exit is situated 7 kilometers away - north of the flat - and will take you only a couple of minutes by car.

Since 1st January 2008 Berlin's inner city is an 'environmental zone' where only cars that are up to emission standards are allowed. You need a sticker with information about the emission standard of your car.

From Tegel Airport: take bus 128 to the underground station (U-Bahnhof) Kurt-Schuhmacher-Platz. From there take the U6 direction Alt-Mariendorf to the station Stadtmitte. Change there into the U2 direction Pankow to the station Spittelmarkt (36 min. journey time).

From Schönefeld Airport: take (e. g.) the train RB14 direction Nauen to the station Alexanderplatz . From there change into the U2 to the station Spittelmarkt (28 min. journey time).

From Hauptbahnhof (the central train station) take the S-Bahn line S7 (the urban railway) - or another similar S-line in the same direction - and get off at the station Alexanderplatz. From there change into the U2 to the station Spittelmarkt (15 min. journey time).

  • Top Location ! At the corner there are a Subway station that conect you to the main touristic points, easy and safe !
    Even if you prefer you can walk to many city attractions !
    The apartment it's very nice , clean, and the bed is very confortable.

  • Booked this studio just one day before my arrival date and Martin responded within a few hours and confirmed this.

    The studio is exactly as depicted in the pictures, in a new building and very clean and comfortable.

    Location is great too, the U Bahn station is a minute away and it's very centrally located with respect to most shopping and sightseeing in Berlin.

  • I booked my stay last minute and Martin was easy to communicate with and let me check in earlier than expected. Everything is centrally located to this flat. It's in a great area and the flat itself is very nice. I had a great stay. There was a slight issue with getting in and Martin took care of the issue promptly. I would definitely book another stay at this flat next time I visit.

  • Spent a wonderful week in Martin's apartment! The location is wonderfull, really 1 min to underground station. Quite and friendly neighbors, cute cafe right in front of the house. Inside flat is lovely, stylish and clean. Bed is comfortable and kitchen has everything you need! I will definitely stay there next time. Thank you!

  • In very short notice Martin responded to my request to relocate and had someone meet me the very next day at the apartment to get the key. The location is very central and around the corner from the Ubahn and a pretty canal. The place is spotless and I had a really wonderful time the rest of my stay in Berlin.

  • The apartment is located literally a block away from spittelmrkt station so it's great to move quickly around the city. The place is just like the pictures and bed is super comfy. Totally recommended.
    Beware that there's no washing machine in case you need one and make sure to check for an automatic email they send you with information. I didn't get it and lost a couple of hours trying to coordinate the check-in process.

  • The apartment was exactly as imagined, smart and comfortable, and in a great location- quiet but very close to the u-bahn and within walking distance of major attractions. We were welcomed with a map and tips about where to go and had a great stay.

  • Nur wenige Schritte vom Alexanderplatz in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse top gelegen. Huebsche und zweckmaessige Ausstattung mit allem, was man fuer einen Aufenthalt braucht, wenn man z.B. auch mal selber kochen will. Abwicklung unkompliziert und schnell. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

  • Nice studio. Well furnished, clean and the floor heating makes you stand up a lot :). Easy accessible from SpittelMarkt U-Bahn & Bus, is the ideal location when you have to checkout Berlin Mitte. I also needed good internet access and I was not disappointed like in many other locations I've been to. It worked perfectly.
