This private one bedroom one bath flat is ideally located in the center of downtown Portland. It is one block from the Portland State campus, across the street from the street car with extremely easy access to buses and Max trains (Portland's above ground rail system). The neighborhood is urban and lively with many museums, shops, grocery stores, Jeld Wen Field/Providence Park, historic churches, farmer's markets, cafes, bars and restaurants all within walking distance.
The apartment has a private entrance with a small porch. It is well appointed, stylish and cozy.
There is temporary street parking in front of the apartment or all day parking across the street for $8.50/day. Public transportation is extremely convenient from this space so I usually recommend that or car2go (a rent by the minute car service, really easy to use check their website) which are plentiful in this neighborhood.
The space can accommodate four adults comfortably with two in the main bedroom and two in the spare bed.
I have everything you need to do "light cooking," dishes, silverware, pots and pans, oven & stove.
There is an iron and ironing board in the apartment as well as a hairdryer in the bathroom.
Wonderful apartment, wonderful location! Faith was prompt and communicative and easy to work with! Will stay again when back in town.
What a great stay my friends and I had! The place was very clean and there was lots of space. I was impressed by how well stocked the kitchen was for a rental apartment and the location was very convenient for all my downtown destinations. Faith was great at communicating promptly and the check in/out experience was one of the most easiest and stress-free. I highly recommend this place and will want to stay here again!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this downtown apartment. It was so central to everything and felt like a cozy home to come back to at the end of the day! Faith was quick to respond if we needed her for anything and overall, the place was just too cute and fit our needs perfectly. I definitely recommend staying here if you're wanting to be downtown and near the action! Thanks Faith!
We had a great stay at this apartment last weekend. The location is great! Safe and walkable area and also close to all forms of public transportation. Faith was very helpful with any questions I had prior to the visit. The only thing I would be careful about is the stop you're supposed to get off on the MAX line if you come from the airport. It sometimes doesn't stop. (I'm assuming it's a day-only stop, we were on it about 10:00 pm) I would be aware of this if you're traveling late, just navigate towards Pioneer Square and then towards PSU. Overall we had a wonderful time in Portland and will definitely book again!
The apartment was beautiful and so quiet. We felt so safe! It was just enough for 3 people. It was also the perfect location! The beds and futon were really comfortable. We are already planning our next adventure to Portland and will definitely stay at Faiths!
Great location and very nice apt. We had a great time during out stay and was able to walk around to get dinner from the apt. This was my first experience with airbnb and it was amazing. Thanks Faith!
My mother-in-law and I had a great stay at Faith's! The place was neat and cozy, perfect for two people who prefer staying in a "home" than a hotel. I would recommend this to my friends and families! The only thing that caught me by surprise (and maybe because I did not look at the details very closely on airbnb) was that the place didn't have wifi. This was not a problem, however, because there were plenty of spots nearby with wifi. Everything is practically walkable from this place! Thanks, Faith!
This place was great for what we needed! Comfortable bed, full kitchen, warm and cosy, and the street car was right outside the door which made it easy to get around town. Thanks Faith, we had a very comfortable stay.
This is a very well-located apartment in Portland. Within safe walking distance to a bunch of cool shops, restaurants, bars, etc. It's a very cute little place, with lots of charm. The old wood floors are super cool. I wouldn't call the living room comfy for lounging, but it's great that it's there! Overall, the place is spacious, tucked away from the street, and I got pretty good sleep.
The locks on the front door freaked me out a bit in the beginning, because they don't actually close the door against the jamb. But I think that has a lot to do with the age of the place and the settling that has occurred over time. It's dark when walking down the side of the property to the side entry, but if the apartment in front has their lights on, it's better.
I would definitely stay here again. Great central location. Mostly everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Parking was easy and affordable too. The apartment can be adapted for solo travellers, couples, friends or a small family. We were there for two nights but could easily work for a longer stay (lots of storage).
FYI that if you need wifi, there's no Internet here.
Besides that, Faith was easily accessible by email or phone and checking in was a breeze. Thank you!
