The space

Detached monumental gardenershouse on Country Hartenstein in Oosterbeek close to Arnhem, situated at the main crossroad between Arnhem en Wageningen next to the Airborne Museum. We are 10 minutes walking distance from the local train station and even closer to all bus connections. At the rim of parks and woods at one side, and with its cozy shops adjacent to the property. On summer nights it present a delight of spending time in the orchard with a wooden fire place and a outdoor kitchen.

The area has a lot to offer. Close by there is Burgers Zoo, the Open Air Museum, the Water Museum, the Museum of Modern Art and the Airborne Museum.

Situated at the crossing of the Betuwe Region ( lowlands ) and the Veluwe ( National Parc ) you can find the Kroller Moller Museum ( Van Gogh ) and the Castle of St' Hubertus is not far away.

You will find restaurants pleased for every tast and wallet, like French, Italian, Thai and Japanese Cuisine and yes, we even have a tipical Dutch Pancake Restaurant.

We accomodate a sitting room ( separated from the bedroom by steps ), a comfortable bedroom with a double bed and a 3 piece bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity.

We stayed with Tineke, who is a great hostess and kind person, during a cycling weekend in Arnhem and the location was perfect, just a stones throw away from the start/finish. It's very nicely located in Hartenstein park, very near to the airborne museum and Oosterbeeks main street. The house is very lovely with a big garden, books everywhere, lovely art and a nice townhouse feel. The room has all privacy you need, with a comfortable bed, great shower and everything was very clean. Tineke makes the best breakfast you've ever had and it helped us through a hard day of cycling :). Really deserves the title bed & breakfast. I greatly recommend, next year if we do the cycling tour again, we will be back. Thanks again!

We chose to stay at Tineke's house because we wanted to go to the Veluwe early the next morning. We actually didn't even see the house in daylight so can't judge the exterior. Inside was extremely warm and cosy. The room is located in the attic and guests have their own toilet and bathroom, both of which were very clean and tidy (even with some shower gel and shampoo to use). The room is quite basic, but we didn't really need anything more. Getting there is a little tricky, but as promised Tineke picked us up and showed us the way.

We had a wonderful time there. Short, but the room was cosy and clean, a lot of space and it was quiet. The ancient house with steep stairs to our sleeping room, a lovely kitchen with an oven, I have never seen before. Green surroundings and opposite a museum and restaurant. Tineke and Jan are great hosts. We get a tasty breakfast in the morning for a small amount. I could recommend to stay here. Big thanks :)

Great Place to stay. Enough privacy, Easy parking, comfortabele rooms, an perfect Bathroom. Separate toilet. It is an old garndenershouse so isolation from Heat, in our case, à hot summernight is not so good. But Enough Windows to open, For à small breeze. Good price /Quality. Jan was à perfect host!

Excellent hosts, made us feel right at home. In fact they couldn't do enough for us. Great house, great location, great breakfast. The garden was beautiful and peaceful. Close enough to restaurants and with easy access to Arnhem. Lovely walks right on your doorstep and excellent access to cycle routes.
