The Space

Please ask for reduced prices if you plan to stay longer than a week or month. Please ask for vacancy although the valender tells it is not available because I can offer similar rooms and entire apartments near by most of the time.

Please do not worry if the calendar is telling "no vacancy". I am organizing the booking of many different apartments all over Frankfurt and it should be possible to find the best location for you as well. Please tell your requirements and where you want to go to every morning and I will reply with a map and schedule how to commute.

We rent out one appartment with 1 or 2 bedrooms, kitchen and private bathroom. Free telephone (german fix lines) and free Internet (highspeed DSL), No problems to park your car nearby. Next ...
Bus stop (2 min),
S-Bahn (8 min),
U-Bahn (12 min),
Long distance railway station (12 min),
Frankfurt main station (17 min),
Messe station (20 min),
Frankfurt International Airport (35 min).

If you want to stay longer than a week or longer than a month please ask for reduced price. You can also ask for a served breakfast and supper. We can talk about additional add on services as well

... some more details:

South of Frankfurt (Sachsenhausen ZIP 60599), close to the city, easy access by car & public transportation system

It is very easy to go by car to Frankfurt / Sachsenhausen, south of the riven Main. It is 3.8 km from Autobahn A661 Exit Offenbach-Kaiserlei very close to motorway junction Offenbacher Kreuz (A3).

It is very easy to go by public transportation as well. The tram 15 & 16 are starting every 5 minutes. It is 2 minutes to walk to the tram station and 8 minutes later you arrive at south station, 16 minutes to main station, 23 minutes to Messe - all destinations without changing. Frankfurt International Airport you can reach by tram and S8 or S9 within 27 minutes.

There is a big room (22 square meter = 235 square feet) with a double bed ( 180 x 200 cm), a wardrobe, table & chairs and a nice balcony to enjoy the afternoon sun.

There is a second bedroom with one single bed, wardrobe, table & chair.

There is a fully equiped kitchen (fridge, 4 hot plate, oven, microwave, dish washer, coffee machine, electric kettle, mixer, cutlery & dinnerware) and a bathroom with toilette and shower in the bath tub and a washing machine.

In the kitchen you find a washing machine to help yourself.

In front of the house there is free private parking area and across the street (2 minutes to walk) there is a bakery.

Special issue ... my guest will be able to get 2 membership cards of the fitness studio (gym) "Fitness First" with Finnish sauna, steam sauna & swimming pool. Please do not forget your sportswear & swimming things. Please ask for additional sauna towel when you are booking.

There are several supermarkets as well (e.g. Lidl 850 meter, REWE 1.2 km & Aldi 1.3 km), an ATM machine and pharmacy (1.3 km) ... if you are looking for something else of course I will help.

Bookable add on services: If you need any kind of support ... please ask. For sure we will do our best e.g.
• to rent a car ... we will help to find the right vehicle at very best rate,
• to rent a computer, beamer, printer, facsimile, local mobile or smart phone,
• to find the best temporary service personnel for your fair booth (hostesses, interpreters, security, etc.),
• to book a special program for your guests e.g. sightseeing & excursion, guiding, escort.

We do offer a full service back office service if needed. We plan and implement a localized version of your marketing activities to optimize the presentation of your goods and/or services.

All the best - your host

PS Sometimes airbnb does not calculate the correct price although my pricing rule seems look easy to me. The first person in a room is 40 or 60 Euro (normal rate or during major fairs). The second person in a room is always 30 Euro. Please ask me for a special price if you are not coming to visit the fair and if you are planning to stay longer than a week.

  • Peter and his wife are absolutely wonderful hosts. Their home is warm, cozy and inviting, and they will do everything possible to make their visitors feel welcome and happy. I would recommend anyone to stay with Peter in one of his wonderful apartments!

  • Peter's apartment is comfortable, situated in a calm neighbourhood with lots of green space, and has good public transport links to the centre. It was great to be able to use the fridge and the kitchen.

  • This is a difficult one to write. First and foremost, Peter is a great host who went out of his way to help us. He picked us up at the subway, he was eager to answer questions we had about the city, and when we ran into some personal problems with our travel plans, he offered his help in getting them fixed.

Unfortunately, the place we stayed in was not the room we reserved on Airbnb. The room listed is for a room with a private bathroom and included amenities like free internet. In a personal email, he assured us we would have a big double bed and that no one would share our bathroom.

However we were not taken to this place. We were instead taken to another apartment he owns that had no internet, two twin beds, and a man staying in the room next door that we shared our bathroom with for the first two days. Because it was late and because we didn't want to deal with finding another place during our short trip, we just chose to make due.

Though the apartment was nice enough, it was not what we were expecting at all. Again, Peter was super friendly and very helpful. My suggestion is not to avoid staying with him, just try to make sure you know exactly where you'll be staying and what you'll be getting. He really just needs to list the other apartment separately.

  • Peter is a very nice, friendly and helpful host. The apartments he is offering are in a really beautiful neighborhood. We enjoyed our stay there.

    October 2011
  • We enjoyed our stay in Peter's Frankfurt apartment. The place we stayed in was shared by Peter (the washing machine in the kitchen) so it's not quite an entire flat for yourself. However, an advantage of this is that Peter is often available for questions, etc. He and Gabriele were generous with their time in highlighting places to see in Frankfurt and their advice was invaluable.

The kitchen is functional and we prepared several meals there. There is no stove/oven and to heat food you have a single convection style hot plate, but it works very well and quickly.

Access to public transportation is a real plus for this apartment. The #47 line bus stop is a 2 minute walk from the front door to the apartment building.

We found the surrounding area to be quiet as Peter advertises. Wi-Fi access was very good and fast.

  • Stay was pleasant, I had my own bedroom in a little apartment (including kitchen) with a nice view over Frankfurt - especially enjoyable because the apartment came with an own balcony!
The apartment is clean and well connected to Frankfurt, a common bus stop is very close. The friendly host also offered bicycles, although I did not need one.
This is a nice, cheap and friendly alternative to a hotel room. Highly recommended.
