Unspoilt Cotswolds beckon...enjoy!

Bed & Breakfast - Private room · DuntisbourNe Abbots, Cirencester, GL7 7JN, United Kingdom

Rose Cottage is built of the typical Cotswold honey-coloured stone and is in the picturesque and unspoilt village of Duntisbourne Abbots - it's easy to imagine Agatha Christie's Miss Marple riding by! The charming Roman town of Cirencester is 7 miles away while Bath and Stratford upon Avon are 45 miles away. There are wonderful country walks and pubs in the immediate vicinity,in fact from the front door! Foodies will be spoilt for choice too.

The house is set in beautiul, terraced gardens and part of it was built in the 17th century, with an addition in the 19th century and then a modern kitchen has been added. It oozes relaxed charm.

if you are looking for night life, then you will be sorely disappointed. However, there is a pub serving award winning food a couple of miles away and an excellent choice of both pubs and restaurants in a 10 mile radius.

The Space

Rose Cottage is grade II listed stone cottage, with one part of the building dating from the 18th century. There was an addition in the late 1800s and then a recent one. The house is set within 3/4 acre of beautiful gardens and your stay will be punctuated by birdsong and the sound of horses' hooves - typically more horses pass by than cars!

Guest Access

The cottage has modern comforts and wi if. You will have access to a washing machine and dryer. Please note that there is a TV in the family room but none in the bedrooms.

There is an excellent choice of pubs and restaurants in the area but should you wish to eat in there is a fuly equipped kitchen.

Interaction with Guests

I love the area and am keen for you to enjoy your experience and can make recommendations.

  • It was my 1st time with Airbnb, and my experience has been just great.
Everything was perfect. The room and the apartment were clean and sunny. I loved its great location. I could walk almost to everywhere in London and didn't use the metro except for twice.
Joanna, the host was kind and showed me many interesting things to do and recommended me places to go or eat...
I'm now traveling to Barcelona oft work, and I'm sure I will get an apartment/room through this website.
Overall, my whole experience has been just great!! I definitely do recommend Airbnb to look for an accommodation abroad.

  • We enjoyed our stay very much! The apartment is beautiful, airy and spacious. The room with ensuite was very clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast choice were great. Joanna is a wonderful host, very welcoming and provided us with lot's of local insides around the area. The apartment is absolute central, close to Regents Park, most attractions are in walking distance but there is also the underground just a few steps away. We are looking forward to coming again!

  • My first airbnb experience was excellent! Joanna's accommodations were clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and convenient to tube stations and bus stops. Joanna's warm hospitality and advice on things to see and do in and around London was especially appreciated. I hope to stay with her again on my next visit.

  • I loved staying at Joanna's beautiful, tranquil London apartment for my art research weekend. Joanna a brilliant AirBnB hostess. Everything is so nicely organised for your stay and she is happy to help with any information, directions, etc. that you might need. In addition to her superb facilities, our morning and evening conversations were great fun and enhanced my trip. On a practical note: I was happy to find the bed very good quality & had 3 fabulous nights' sleep (much needed!) Breakfast options well supplied and delicious. I will recommend staying here to any of my friends travelling to London and hope to stay again!

About
I love the variety of cultural and culinary experiences which London has to offer and the natural beauty of the Cotswolds. My favourite things include bird song, the feel of sun on my back and the smell of a woodburning fire and sight of a crackling fire, with a glass of red wine in hand. I love travelling and meeting new people and so AirBnB seems a good match. I offer local knowledge and warm hospitality to guests and wish you a wonderful visit whilst requesting gentle use of my home.
