Casa Foscolo is a wonderful loft, located right in the center of Rome, only a few steps away from Vittorio Emanuele underground stop, and 10 minutes walk from Termini Station, the main station in the city. Colosseum is only 10 minutes walk away, and you can reach it through the beautiful Colle Oppio park. The house is a loft with two mezzanines, to give each of you its private space. On the first mezzanine there is a double bed. On the second mezzanine there is a single bed. In the dining room there is a double sofa bed. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, toaster, water boiler and everything you may need to cook. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower. There is also a washing machine/dryer. Parquet makes this little apartment cozy and elegant, and will make you feel at home. All the windows overlook internal yards and are far from the stress. Nevertheless, all the windows have double glasses and are noise and temperature isolating. The apartment has also air conditioning. Near the apartment you will find all kind of shops, italian and multiethnic. A supermarket is at only 2 minutes walk. Nearby there is also "Panella", a little paradise for bakery lovers, where you can taste many deliciousnesses while you walk to the Colossum. On request, we can also provide a transfer service from Fiumicino or Ciampino airports. If you are interested, just ask for availability and prices. If you prefer public means instead, we will send you all the information to reach us once the booking is confirmed. If you are coming by car, parking in the street can be hard due to the central position of the apartment. Nevertheless, a private garage is only a few steps away (not included in the price). If you are coming by train, you can either walk from Termini station or use the underground! If you are looking for a cozy place, right in the center and with all the conforts without spending a fortune, Casa Foscolo is what you are looking for! We are looking forward to meeting you in Rome!

I stayed at Antonella's apartment in Rome for 4 nights in February. The location was great near the train station/metro stop. It was easy to walk to the Colosseum and other major sites and even easier to take the metro to ones a little farther away. I did use the airport transport service to make it even easier for me but it really would not be difficult to take the train/metro from the airport.
The apartment is located on the ground floor close to the entrance door, so it can be cold inside (for those who are heat-loving), though air conditioner may help, and you can hear people coming in/out of the building. Also you can note lack of sunshine because of the same reason. For travellers with kids it definitely wouldn't do, because of the stairs. Two mesonines don't have formal dividers, though they are located on different sides - opposite each other, so keep it in mind if you care about privacy when being in bed. The bathroom is rather small but cozy (though shower is narrow indeed!), but definitely there's a certain lack of hot water: the water heater is VERY small so if you're travelling together you'll have to wait for water after a shower/wash up every time. There's enough tableware and kitchen utensils, but mind your head when cooking - there's a protruding part of the wall over the kitchen surface :-) Generally location is good as it's close to the railway and underground stations and to the main sightseeing points within walking distance, but the area in general (Vittorio Emanuele square) is not actually very pleasant - many asian/arabic(?) street vendors, homeless people, etc. Though many shops and cafes can be found around. If you search for non-expensive private apartments in the center and you don't have any special requirements - then this can be an option. If you prefer more comfort - better choose a hotel (say, in the beautiful tiny streets of the Esquiline Hill a bit closer to Colosseum)
the apartment was spacious and equipped with the necessities such as wifi, kitchen, fridge and tv. there was a chinese and indian restaurant along the street. the apartment is within walkable distance to the colosseum and from the colosseum you can walk all the way down to trajan's market, alter of the fatherland and the main shopping district. vatican city is 7 stops away and the main shopping district is 2 - 4 stops away.
We enjoyed our stay very much. A nice and spacious appartment in a good location. Thanks!
We found Antonella's apartment to be perfect for our needs. The beds were very comfortable and the mezzanine beds provided a good level of private space for us and our two teenage children. The location could not have been better, being about half way between termini (main transport hub) and the Colosseum. We could walk easily to many places of interest and have a quick trip anywhere on bus or train. The kitchen was adequate and the seating for meals etc was also convenient.
The only problem we had was that we could not make the heater work. We were lucky and did not really need it but it may be a problem in colder weather. The heater either needs to be fixed or the instructions on how to use it more detailed. Maurizio picked us up from the airport (arranged through Antonella). He was very punctual, efficient and friendly and made our arrival much easier after a very long flight.
I would certainly recommend casa foscolo to anyone and hope that one day we will also be able to return.
Nice apartment, well loacated. Me and 3 friends of mine walked from the apartment to all sightseeing spots and back. The main strain station Roma Termini is 10 min by foot, so is the colosseo.
Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, Pantheon round about 20 min by foot. So if you want to see all the touristic sights of rome and your able to walk a bit its perfect for you. If you get tired the trainstation is really close.
The apartment is clean and has its own charme.
We had a nice stay!
Antonella helped us alot before we even came to Rome by answering a lot of questions by mail!! Thanks for that!!
The place is very nice, very comfortable to stay in! We arrived late due to train delays and she had someone waiting for us for half hour! It's very well equipped even with condiments if you want to cook. The location is very close to the centre, easy walking distance from most places. The only downside to this place was our internet wasn't working, Antonella did try to fix it for us but I guess not in time. Otherwise a great place, definitely recommend staying here!
The place was fine. It was very clean and had a great layout. Very comfy. The location was two fold... On one hand, it was very close to the colosseum and metro. On the other hand, this place was located in an area that didn't make my fiancée and I feel safe. The street is full of loiterers and unfortunately the place directly next door had just burned down so the smell was unpleasant. Also, on our first night at about 4am, we were woken up by someone trying to buzz into the building through our apartment buzzer. This lasted for about 1 hour before they finally stopped. All-in-all, I would give this place about a 6.5 on a 1 to 10 scale.
Thank you Zachary! We do our best to keep Casa Foscolo extremely clean and confortable for our guests, and I am glad that these aspects met your expectations. Unfortunately there has been an accident a few days ago, and the apartment next to ours burned down. I am sure they will clean everything up very soon, and I apologize for the inconvenience this has caused to you. About the buzzer I am really sorry to hear what happened, this is a big city, and sometimes there are silly people! The place is very central, and you can find people of all kinds, but I can tell you that none of our guests have ever experienced any safety problem, all you need to do is ignore them! Although none of the inconveniences you experienced depend on us I apologize, and I really hope that all the positive aspects of Casa Foscolo will let you a good memory of your holiday in Rome!
