The house is at 5 minutes on foot from the beautiful beach of Jabaquara, 15 minutes from the historical center of Paraty and near the neighborhood little market. The street is not paved, but it is easy to access, just 100 meters from the main street. Only if it rains a lot, there could be some mud.
Our house is new and well decorated: we have furnished it with recycled elements, it is simple but really cozy! It has two floors, a large one with kitchen, living, a little bathroom and a backyard.
The room is upstairs: it has a double bed with mosquito net, a funny closet (an old fridge that we have arranged!) and shelves. It has a balcony too, to the backyard, and close to palms and a lot of vegetation. The bathroom is private, inside the room.
Room is sunny, comfortable and very quiet. We provide sheets, towels and blanket or fan if necessary.
All guests have access to a complete kitchen and the others house equipments: fridge, blender, toaster, washing machine and BBQ. In the price of your stay is also included a delicious breakfast with coffe or tea, milk, cookies, butter, fruits, bread and cheese.
Our dog Bernardino is quiet and very friendly with our guests, we are sure you will like him!
Jabaquara is a beach of calm waters where you can find a lot of cool bars and restaurants and take a drink looking at the wonderful view of the bay. There’s also a lot of activities to do, as kayak tours, stand-up paddle, boat tours and why not, you can relax taking a massage on the beach, or take care of your skin using the natural mud near the mangroves!
It is safe and quiet also to come back in the night. During the day and until 8pm, there’s a bus (Circular) with scheduled time that takes you to the center and the bus station, but you can easily reach the main places of the city on foot in 15-20 minutes.
We also have two bikes that you can use to move around, we just ask for a nominal fee of R$5 each per day, for their maintenance.
The difference of your stay in Jabaquara is that you are near nature, mountains in one side, the sea on the other side, and the rainforest around. We are sure that you will enjoy to stay in a little village inside the city.
Interaction with Guests
One of the reasons why we use Airbnb is to meet travellers and share our way of life with people from all over the world. When it is possible, we invite our guests to join us in our activities and go out with us to discover not only touristic places.
We are used to travelling a lot and we like to receive guests in our house, so we trust that everyone knows how to respect basical rules of convivence as for example: cleaness of common areas, silence and privacy if necessary.
Giulia and Alfredo are a very pleasant couple, they were very nice and helpful and are great conversational partners. Also they own a lovely dog called Dino, who became our friend for the time of our stay. The house is very comfortable and has all the necessary equipment. It is located in about 20-25 minutes by foot from Paraty's center so everything is very easy to access. In 5 minutes by foot you have a nice beach with some good restaurants. The whole area is picturesque, with horses walking by and birds singing. There are some shops nearby and its a pretty safe neighborhood.
We highly recommend this room!
Giulia and Alfredo are wonderful and very helpful people. Their house is located about 5 min walk from Jabaquara beach. The road is unpaved so it gets muddy when it rains but if the weather is nice it is no problem. Thank you guys your hospitality.
Nice place, near beach, friendly hosts with very good recommendations to visit Paraty and surroundings.
La casa y el cuarto son preciosos. Tranquila, limpia, confortable, etc.
We spent two nights at Giulias and Alfredos place and really enjoyed it. It is located close to the beach and also only a 15 minutes walk away from the city centre of Paraty. The house is very pleasant and we felt really comfortable with our hosts. The room has a great bed, and an own bath room and balcony. If you like dogs, good talks and bicycle rides we recommend highly.
+ nice and helpfull couple. Spotless clean room and bathroom. Extra's like musquito repellant in room. etc. Near nice beach.
- location is a bit far from centre if your just visiting for 1-2 days. On a dirt road which means after rain only mud.
We love to travel (we got in love here in Paraty!), meet people from different cultures and countries and share our daily life in a magic town as Paraty.
We believe that live near the nature and the sea, as to have the opportunity to look at the bay in moonlight it is a unique experience.
Alfredo is an IT consultant and Giulia is a teacher and also works in touristic activities.
We are totally involved with latin american popular culture. Alfredo also plays drums, Candombe (afro-uruguayan rhythm) and Maracatu (brazilian popular rhythm from the north-east).
We used to participate in a little cultural space where various activities were carried out, as percussion and language lessons, yoga and a shared digital desktop with internet access. The cultural space is paused for the moment but we plan to have another one soon in the near future.
