The house is at 5 minutes on foot from the beautiful beach of Jabaquara, 15 minutes from the historical center of Paraty and near the neighborhood little market. The street is not paved, but it is easy to access, just 100 meters from the main street.
Our house is new and well decorated: we have furnished it with recycled elements, it is simple but really cozy! It has two floors, a large one with kitchen, living, a little bathroom and a backyard.
The room is upstairs: it has a double bed with mosquito net, a funny closet (an old fridge that we have arranged!) and shelves. It has a balcony too, to the backyard, and close to palms and a lot of vegetation. The bathroom is private, inside the room.
Room is sunny, comfortable and very quiet. We provide sheets, towels and blanket or fan if necessary.
All guests have access to a complete kitchen and the others house equipments: fridge, blender, toaster, washing machine and BBQ. In the price of your stay is also included a delicious breakfast with coffe or tea, milk, cookies, butter, fruits, bread and cheese.
Our dog Bernardino is quiet and very friendly with our guests, we are sure you will like him!
Jabaquara is a beach of calm waters where you can find a lot of cool bars and restaurants and take a drink looking at the wonderful view of the bay. There’s also a lot of activities to do, as kayak tours, stand-up paddle, boat tours and why not, you can relax taking a massage on the beach, or take care of your skin using the natural mud near the mangroves!
It is safe and quiet also to come back in the night. During the day and until 8pm, there’s a bus (Circular) with scheduled time that takes you to the center and the bus station, but you can easily reach the main places of the city on foot in 15-20 minutes.
We also have two bikes that you can use to move around, we just ask for a nominal fee of R$5 each per day, for their maintenance.
The difference of your stay in Jabaquara is that you are near nature, mountains in one side, the sea on the other side, and the rainforest around. We are sure that you will enjoy to stay in a little village inside the city.
Interaction with Guests
One of the reasons why we use Airbnb is to meet travellers and share our way of life with people from all over the world. When it is possible, we invite our guests to join us in our activities and go out with us to discover not only touristic places.
We are used to travelling a lot and we like to receive guests in our house, so we trust that everyone knows how to respect basical rules of convivence as for example: cleaness of common areas, silence and privacy if necessary.
Giulia and Alfredo are great hosts.. We arrived in Paraty at 02:00am and Giulia waited up for us, made us coffee and spent time making us feel really comfortable. We had had a terribly long day and it was so nice to be welcomed at such a crazy hour.. We're so grateful to you xx
The room was very clean, towels are provided, we were out of shower and Giulia kindly gave us some, it was so refreshing to have a lovely hot shower after a nightmare journey.
Alfredo insisted on dropping us to the bus station on the morning we were leaving (even though he'd had a late night), he also taught me to make the best Caipirinha!!
100% recomendable.
Beautiful town, great place to stay. Place is exactly as advertised, pictures don't do their lovely home as much justice as they should. We only got to meet Giulia as Alfredo was away for the weekend. Giulia was lovey, gave us loads of tips for Paraty and our travels, and made us feel very welcome. We wish we could of stayed longer. Dino, their dog, was lovely and even accompanied us to the beach. Highly recommend this place!
Giulia and Alfredo are fantastic people who have a lovely house with a great room for a couple. The house is a 15-20 min walk from the centre and the instructions given by the guys are very precise. The room and bathroom are well appointed and the Internet is stable. Also there is sufficient cutlery and room in the kitchen to make you feel at home. Best of all is the beach and delicious capirinihias are only a 5 walk away.
Giulia and Alfredo were just awesome hosts! They took care within the first minute I had confirmed my booking... The gave me good advices where to go in paraty and from the first minute I arrived I felt very comfortable...
The room was as expected on the pictures with a small balcony and a bathroom for my own...
I had some nice chats with both of them and the first night alfredo and I went out and I was showed to some special music bars wirh local people inside...
Nevertheless it's a little outside of the town centre I would highly recommend this place and stayed again with the two if I would come back to paraty again... Thanks a lot...! U were just great hosts...!
Alfredo and Giulia were so warm and generous, and staying with them really was like staying with friends. The suite was simple but clean, and it was very nice to stay in a real, peaceful (and very safe) neighborhood by Jabaquara beach instead of the historical center where, though it's charming, nearly everything was a pousada or a restaurant geared to tourists. Thanks to Alfredo and Giulia, I had an amazing 4 days in Paraty and the beautiful places nearby and a wonderful taste of what it is like to live there, not just visit.
We love to travel (we got in love here in Paraty!), meet people from different cultures and countries and share our daily life in a magic town as Paraty.
We believe that live near the nature and the sea, as to have the opportunity to look at the bay in moonlight it is a unique experience.
Alfredo is an IT consultant and Giulia is a teacher and also works in touristic activities.
We are totally involved with latin american popular culture. Alfredo also plays drums, Candombe (afro-uruguayan rhythm) and Maracatu (brazilian popular rhythm from the north-east).
We used to participate in a little cultural space where various activities were carried out, as percussion and language lessons, yoga and a shared digital desktop with internet access. The cultural space is paused for the moment but we plan to have another one soon in the near future.
