About this listing
The house is at 5 minutes on foot from the beautiful beach of Jabaquara, 15 minutes from the historical center of Paraty and near the neighborhood little market. The street is not paved, but it is easy to access, just 100 meters from the main street. Only if it rains a lot, there could be some mud.
Our house is new and well decorated: we have furnished it with recycled elements, it is simple but really cozy! It has two floors, a large one with kitchen, living, a little bathroom and a backyard.
The room is upstairs: it has a double bed with mosquito net, a funny closet (an old fridge that we have arranged!) and shelves. It has a balcony too, to the backyard, and close to palms and a lot of vegetation. The bathroom is private, inside the room.
Room is sunny, comfortable and very quiet. We provide sheets, towels and blanket or fan if necessary.
All guests have access to a complete kitchen and the others house equipments: fridge, blender, toaster, washing machine and BBQ. In the price of your stay is also included a delicious breakfast with coffe or tea, milk, cookies, butter, fruits, bread and cheese.
Our dog Bernardino is quiet and very friendly with our guests, we are sure you will like him!
Jabaquara is a beach of calm waters where you can find a lot of cool bars and restaurants and take a drink looking at the wonderful view of the bay. There’s also a lot of activities to do, as kayak tours, stand-up paddle, boat tours and why not, you can relax taking a massage on the beach, or take care of your skin using the natural mud near the mangroves!
It is safe and quiet also to come back in the night. During the day and until 8pm, there’s a bus (Circular) with scheduled time that takes you to the center and the bus station, but you can easily reach the main places of the city on foot in 15-20 minutes.
The difference of your stay in Jabaquara is that you are near nature, mountains in one side, the sea on the other side, and the rainforest around. We are sure that you will enjoy to stay in a little village inside the city.
Interaction with Guests
One of the reasons why we use Airbnb is to meet travellers and share our way of life with people from all over the world. When it is possible, we invite our guests to join us in our activities and go out with us to discover not only touristic places.
We are used to travelling a lot and we like to receive guests in our house, so we trust that everyone knows how to respect basical rules of convivence as for example: cleaness of common areas, silence and privacy if necessary.
Fizeram eu me sentir em casa! rs...
It was our first time to stay in a private room with air bnb (rather than our own apartment) and we could not have been luckier than to stay with Giulia and Alfredo! They are lovely people, so friendly, chatty and interesting. Giulia met us at the bus stop when we arrived & Alfredo gave us a left there again when we were leaving. They really are super hosts!!
The room is perfect - the bed is really comfortable, the decor is lovely and the shower was nice and hot. The location is great, 5 minutes to the beach and about 15 minute walk to Paraty historical village. Giulia left a yummy breakfast out every morning, which set us up for the day! We loved Dino, their big friendly, independent doggy, who will go for a walk with you at the drop of a hat!
We really enjoyed our stay here and our only regret is that it was too short - We would liked to have spent more time with Giulia and Alfredo. Highly recommend staying here!
We had a wonderful time staying at Giulia and Alfredo's house in Paraty. They are both very friendly, welcoming, and relaxed. We were greeted by Giulia and then Alfredo showed us the house and told us about the neighborhood and gave us some great recommendations as Giulia had to head off to work. Bernadinho is a very calm and friendly dog who we also enjoyed seeing each day. The house is just like in the pictures and the room was very comfortable with a good amount of space. Giulia and Alfredo and Bernadinho were very quiet...we never heard them come in or out of the house if we were already asleep. Everything was clean, worked great and the bathroom had a new shower head too. We really enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood and easy walk to the beach for a cerveja at sunset or a delicious meal at la Luna. The walk into Paraty was easy, up and over a little hill, and we came home at night with absolutely no worries about safety. The breakfast was also perfect. Some bread, a yogurt, fresh fruit, granola, etc. And you can make coffee or tea as you like. Alfredo and Giulia also invited us to come listen to some music in Paraty center and it was very nice----and something we would not have known about had they not told us. We really enjoyed our stay here. If you are looking for a nice, affordable room in a very friendly and cozy home, this is your place! Enjoy it!
My friend and I loved staying at Guilia and Alfredo's house! We needed a few peaceful, relaxing days, and it was the perfect place for that. We could easily walk into the historic centre, if we wanted to, but the beach bars in Jabaquara were also cool. Guilia and Alfredo were both so helpful, offering advice on what to do and driving us into town with our cases. Both are so friendly, in multiple languages!
We loved our stay with Alfredo and Giulia!!! The location is excellent, a pleasant 15-20 walk from the centre and 5 minutes away from Jabaquara beach and lots of little cafes and restaurants. The road can get muddy if it rains but is fine when it's dry and adds to the charm of Paraty and feeling close to nature! The house is really nice and clean, as is the room and its private bathroom. The water coming out of the shower is only lukewarm but again, this is part of Paraty (just try not to shower in the evening...). A and G provide a healthy, yummy breakfast every morning and are extremely friendly, sweet and full of advice and tips about what to do and where to go. We liked it so much we stayed an extra 3 nights! Definitely choose this place for your stay in Paraty!
Giulia and Alfredo are great hosts. The room and the house are very nice. I'd recommend this place !
About the Host, Giulia And Alfredo
We love to travel (we got in love here in Paraty!), meet people from different cultures and countries and share our daily life in a magic town as Paraty.
We believe that live near the nature and the sea, as to have the opportunity to look at the bay in moonlight it is a unique experience.
Alfredo is an IT consultant and Giulia is a teacher and also works in touristic activities.
We are totally involved with latin american popular culture. Alfredo also plays drums, Candombe (afro-uruguayan rhythm) and Maracatu (brazilian popular rhythm from the north-east).
We used to participate in a little cultural space where various activities were carried out, as percussion and language lessons, yoga and a shared digital desktop with internet access. The cultural space is paused for the moment but we plan to have another one soon in the near future.
