Myself and two girlfriends had a wonderful experience in this loft.
Nowin was extremely helpful and quick to reply to our few questions, and checking in and out was seemles.
The lost itself is spacious, clean and quiet, all the things we needed for a relaxing retreat after long days exploring the city.
The double bed is extremely comfortable and the fold out was quite good.
Although there are no photos of the bathroom online, we were delighted to see it was very nice and clean.
There is plenty of room to unpack, with spaces made available in closets and drawers.
We spent two evenings indoors, utilising the kitchen and its facilities.
I would reccomend the Gormet Garage as your supermarket whilst here, it has everything you need and is only two blocks away.
Canal Street itself is very busy, however once you are inside it is blocked off and the loft is a little haven.
Thanks to Norwin for having us, I highly recommend this apartment.
Norwin was a fantastic host; check-in and check-out was easy, and he promptly answered any questions we had. Apartment was very clean and free of street noise. Location was fantastic, since it's on the north end of Tribeca, nearly in Soho, and an easy walk to Greenwhich village. Canal street can be slightly seedy, but around the corner is West Broadway, which is a beautiful street with lots of cafes, restaurants and boutiques. Bedroom is located on an inner wall, so we slept super soundly. Thanks Norwin!
We were met at Norwin's apartment by a friend of his who was very welcoming and showed us everything. Norwin had said we had full access to use the kitchen and all the pans etc. However she told us there was no gas so we could not use the cooker and there was no electric kettle. So all we had for meals was a microwave and coffee maker. Certainly not what we had been lead to expect from the description on the website. All the cupboards and drawers were filled with Norwin's clothes so there was no empty space to put our clothes. Unfortunately footsteps from the floor above were very loud though we did not hear any voices. Footsteps were noisy every night until after 1am.
Otherwise the apartment was spacious, clean and comfortably furnished and we had a very pleasant stay there. The location was excellent for shopping and access to the subway and was just a 6 minute walk to our son's apartment in TriBeCa which was ideal for us.
The gas was temporarily off due to maintenance being performed by ConEdison, the local gas company which is reviewing the gas lines for the entire neighborhood. To compensate for this I did in fact discounted the normal rate during Ann's stay. Its important to note that at no point did Ann mention any of these issues which I would have been glad to resolve further to the extent possible.
Norwin was very organised and had good communication through out.
The apartment was as described and very spacious for New York. A good location with lots of great places to eat just a short walk a way.
Will look to stay again on future trips.
Excellent SoHo/Tribeca location, within walking distance to Bleecker Street shopping, cafes, and easy cab ride to anything you can't stroll to. As the flat is only one floor up, luggage was not an issue. The in-flat w/d was perfect to do daily loads. Excellent little cafe across the street for smoothies and caffeine, before you trot off to enjoy New York. A wonderful place to stay when you have the littles with you and don't want to stay in a hotel.
Norwin met us upon arrival and showed us around the apartment. He was really helpful throughout our stay, constantly checking in on us and helped us with whatever we needed! The place was clean, comfortable and in a great location. The apartment is situated around many subway lines, and is a 5 minutes walk to SoHo. Would definitely recommend staying here!
