This is not just an accommodation; it is an experience that I am so thrilled to share with you.

This apartment is so perfectly perched between several neighborhoods: Treme, French Quarter, Marigny, and very close to the Bywater and Mid-City. That means that you get a really diverse experience with easy access to so many different neighborhoods.

The space
The space consists of two floors. The bottom has the kitchen and the bathroom, which are the common spaces.

The good stuff comes when you get to your exclusive floor though, which is a loft.

It's shaped like a cross and is divided into three sections - there is a bed in 2 of them, and then there is a little living room area. This is an open space but we have curtains so that you can maintain privacy between each section if you'd like. One thing to keep in mind. Because it is a loft space, the ceiling is low.

Guest access
Every room is available for you, minus the two bedrooms downstairs (where my roommate and I reside). The upstairs will be entirely yours though; I will never go up there unless specifically invited by you.

During your stay
One of the reasons why I am an Airbnb host is because I love meeting new people. If you're sharing space with me, I want to get to know you. If you're looking for a more private experience, that works too!

I also want to help make your trip even better, so don't be shy to ask me for recommendations.

Other things to note
I have lived in several areas around New Orleans, and this one is truly my favorite. Every house is different and has character, the neighbors will smile and wish you a good day, and marching bands pass by on a regular basis (don't worry, they aren't loud at all on your floor!)

If you're looking for a luxurious vacation experience, it probably isn't the right fit. This will very much be a fun-loving and authentic experience that extends far beyond just an accommodation.

Neighborhood highlights

This neighborhood is really cool! It's literally two blocks from the edge of the French Quarter and the street car (we are equidistant between Frenchman and Bourbon so both are a ten-minute walk).

I like to spend time with my guests
I moved to New Orleans fairly recently in a definite quarter life crisis haze. In Montreal I had just graduated university, quit my job at a stock brokerage firm, and accepted the defeat of a failed business venture. For the first time I started asking myself what I really wanted to be doing, and it didn't take too long to make the correlation: writing. A one-way ticket later, I arrived here with romantic notions of working on my writing portfolio (can you think of a more inspiring place?!) and then "figuring it out from there." The entire plane ride over here I told myself that I was fearless. Then upon arriving I cried myself to sleep behind the first closed door I had access to. A lot has happened since, but I'll wait to tell you in person :)
