Jim was great with communication before the trip and helped put us in touch with the concierge, Valerie, who set up our chef and excursions beforehand. The house was beautiful and the views were amazing. All the rooms have air conditioning, but the way the house is set up connected to the outdoors there is no air conditioning in the common rooms, but it was totally fine - just an fyi. We used the house chef, Marcos, and it was one of the best decisions we made of the trip. Delicious food and he was impressively prompt! The excursion they planned for us was also great, and even the housekeepers did an amazing job. The monkeys gave us a proper goodbye on the last day too which was too cool. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Casa Samba was fantastic. Jim was very helpful in answering all my questions prior to arrival. Ricky, our host, was very attentive prior to and throughout our stay - setting up activities, recommending an awesome realtor, and really making us feel right at home in paradise. The house was perfect for 4 couples. We truly enjoyed our time at Casa Samba, and look forward to our return to Manuel Antonio. #puravida

This was a wonderfull experience. The home and view is even more beautiful in person. The staff was helpfull and friendly. A group of 8 of us stayed for only 4 nights but that was a perfect amount of time to enjoy the house and the small town. The area is quite hilly so walking to the beach isn't too easy but there are taxis and public transportation. If you want a little more freedom, I recommend renting a car from the airport and negotiate hard for a good bargan. Quepos and Manual Antonio area cater to the tourist population and thus prices have increased. Items like food, excursions and souvenirs are comprable in price to the US. Bargain if you can. They readily accept US dollars but I feel that with the smudge factor of conversions, you end up paying more. It may be worth it to convert currency to Colons to prevent this and to use for tipping. Overall this was a fantastic trip!

Casa Samba was amazing. The location is perfect - very close to bars and restaurants and just a few minutes ride away from Manuel Antonio. The host, Ricky, is extremely helpful and responsive. We also used the chef services and were very impressed with the quality of the food. This is an incredible AirBnB, even better than advertised - don't hesitate to book!

I am so glad you and your friends enjoyed the place. I apologize for not able to put in a review for your stay at casa Samba for I was traveling in some remote mountains in China at the time. You and your friends are always welcomed to return at anytime.

Listing was most definitely as described, if not better. Our group was thrilled to arrive after such a long journey. The residence is located in a semi gated neighborhood or other large residences but very close to restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc. The national park and beaches are within walking distance. The house was perfect for a large group and it was great to have the option to stay at home all day or explore the surrounding area. Host and house manager, Ricky, were very responsive and helpful in helping to answer questions and fix any issues that arose.

If you are on the fence about staying here, let me make it easy... Book it and don't look back. This place is spectacular and is now on my short list of best places I have ever been. The property is stunning with an incredible panoramic view of the sea. Although there were only 5 of us in our party, the house could easily accommodate 10, with plenty of private areas for everyone. For those that like animals, you don't have to travel very far. Every evening, and entire pack of monkeys came to check out the property. The property felt both isolated, and easily accessible. Jim made renting the property easy. During our stay, there was an issue with the electricity that had nothing to do with Jim or Casa Samba, and he worked with me to fix the situation. He was easy to reach, and easy to talk to. If I find myself in Manuel Antonio again (which I will), I am staying at Casa Samba.

I have worked hard and now I'd like to play hard. I fell in love with Costa Rica after coming here for a vacation with my family a few years ago. Two years later I bought my first piece of property in paradise - casa Samba. It is an amazing house with an amazing view just as the cover picture shows.

Enjoy the house and the paradise!

I wish you all good travels, meet lots of friends, and eat lots of good food. Be safe, be happy, and most importantly be healthy.
