Miller's Ocean View Villa is a lovey two bedroom house located in the beautiful village of Bambareaux. Bambareaux is located on the leeward side of the island and the property has spectacular views of the Leeward coast and of the Grenadines. On a clear day you can see the gorgeous island of Bequia.
Bambareaux beach and Layou beach are both 2 minutes walks away in either direction. the famous Buccament Bay Resort is a short 5 minutes drive away. Kingston, the country's capital, is a short 20 minute commute. The house is ideally located for public commute.
The area is great for fishing, hiking and outdoor activities. Whales are often sited below the property in winter months. The nearby Vermont Nature Trails stretch into the wonderful tropical forest, climbing to 2000 feet.
The two bedrooms are spacious and come with ample storage and queen size beds. The house has a bathroom/toilet and a living and dining area and a fully equipped kitchen, with modern appliances (washer, gas stove with oven, fridge, microwave). The entire house is air conditioned. This house is perfect for entertaining.
There is a dining and entertaining area on the roof of the house that takes advantage of the stunning views. The house also has a decked area, ideal for a bbq and (website hidden) Vincent and the Grenadines is a stunning island. There is definitely a lot to see and experience and you will have a great time.
We sit upon the deck listening to the dripping rain after the early morning shower. The bottom deck is where we sit on the lounge chairs enjoying the view out over the bay and the small fishing village. Earlier in the day we took a swim on the black sand beach after a stroll along the shore greeted by locals and two girls cleaning out fresh fish to sell. The day before we spent touring the island from the Botanical Garden to the resort at Young Island, the spring near where Pirates of the Caribbean was filmed, to the petroglyphs and beyond. Alwyn and Debra (our neighbors) greeted us at the airport and spoiled us rotten ever since. From the tour to dinners to being there for anything we needed, they are the ultimate Saint Vincent friend and way to see the island (tours and food are an additional charge - but ask about a driver and a package deal - they will take care of you! You will love it!) The house itself has a beautiful patio on the top as well as below to view the bay. The two bedrooms, downstairs space, peacefulness of the area, and access to the internet made the house a pleasant place to relax after a long day of tours. I highly recommend asking for Debra and Alwyn to tour you so that you can get a true feel of the Saint Vincent people, culture, and food (they are both amazing cooks - and even have their own company - A&D seasonings, hot sauce, and jams! Our bags and stomachs were stuffed after 3 days with them). Enjoy your trip to Saint Vicent! It (and Alwyn and Debra) will always remain dear to our hearts! Thank you!
This stay was (website hidden) Vincent, and the village of Layou, welcomed us with open arms and captured our hearts. The house in Bambareaux left us wanting more, and wishing we had stayed after we departed.
The house is well equipped and very comfortable. Well suited to families, couples or groups of friends. The view is out of this world and the beaches are just a couple minutes walk. The people of the village, especially the house managers, are absolutely fantastic and make you feel at home.
Visit St Vincent, and stay in the Bambareaux home...it won't disappoint.
