Enjoy the extraordinary atmosphere of this stone house, located in an ancient Greek village where time seems to have stopped: Eski Doğanbey.
In the heart of the Great Meander Delta National Park, our two-story stone house has been built respecting the architecture of old greek villages. It is comfortable and spacious, decorated in traditional style. We offer tranquility, peace and home away from home in this unique environment.
Doğanbey is far away from crowds and typical holiday resorts. It is ideal for those who like to be in contact with nature and enjoy exploring new travel alternatives.
The village is close to many atractions from trekking to bird watching. Many antique sites such as Priene, Miletos, Didima, Ephesus, Virgin Mary's house among others are close by.
Since the village is located in the National Park area, public transportation is poor (a public bus runs on the hour 2 kms away from the village) so we highly recommend to come by car.

Our overall experience with this house was really amazing. The village of Eski Doğanbey is magical and while walking around the streets, one can easily lose the sense of time and space. The house and its garden are much larger than they look in the pictures which was a very big plus for us as we (four adults) could enjoy the house without the feeling of narrowness. You should definitely have a car to reach the village as i guess it would be quite difficult to reach there with public transportation. Two of the 12 Ancient Ionian cities are very near and the village is officially located in the Natural Park. We have visited both cities and walked the 10 km hiking route inside the natural park which provided us amazing scenery along the path.If you need a little bit of isolation and interested in ancient Greek history and an untouched nature, then this is your place. Hüseyin and Ismail were good hosts and they were accessible whenever we needed something.
The house is great! Beatiful, stylish and so authentic. The stone terrase is perfect for day sleep or stars (millions of them) watching at night. This is a heaven for those looking for a quiet luxury getaway with eco surroundings and plenty of historical and nature sites nearby. The hosts are very nice persons, thanks a lot! Gave us many valuable advices and even assisted with some crazy requests like finding a massage therapist and buying hand-painted tiles.:) That was a perfect vacation and we're dreaming of coming back one day!
This is a one of the most our memorable vacation. Regardless the long trip from Kazan to Antalya and then to Eski Doganbey with two kids under 2 years old we found village even more picturesqe and hospitable than we had expected to see. House is remarkably comfortable, Huseyin and Blanca are very kind and friendly. Surrounding area is exremly interesting from historical point of view, nice beach in Didim. Fully recommend everyone to attend and wish us to come back. Huseyin, Blanca, you are welcome in Russia and Tatarstan, we will indeed get in touch one day!
We loved our time here; our toddler played outside in the lovely yard all day long, while we laid in the grass reading or I cooked in the spacious, well-equipped, open kitchen. The home is peaceful, beautifully and tastefully decorated, and restful. It is not a place for a hustle and bustle tourist experience, but rather a place to come and be. Be still and quiet. We live in Turkey and it's hard to find places like this; once you come you won't want to leave!
Just one word : paradise!
We wanted to avoid the touristic destinations, and we ended isolated in this marvellous village and beautiful house.
Thank you again Bianca for everything ,
A unique and beautiful house with a nice garden in a very special place. The village is very picturesque and quiet. Far from tourist centres, but close to must-see antiquities (especially Miletos was an adventure) and a friendly beach with an excellent fish restaurant. Blanca and Huseyin are wonderful and helpful hosts.
Our stay in Huseyin's property was MAGICAL! We had been in the city, and to the beach, and our journey to the hills surrounding Eski Doganbey made our short journey in Turkey feel as complete as it could for a two week Turkish visit. Eski Doganbey is truly a magestic place, where we felt peaceful solitude and yet like adventurers off the beaten path. This is not to even yet mention the incredibly beautiful house where we stayed. And Huseyin himself was gracious and helpful, and we very much enjoyed meeting him and his beautiful family. We cannot wait to return!!
We had an amazing time in Doganbey. Mr. Huseyin's apartment was wonderful, a beautiful stone building, in which you can experience both, history and comfort. The house was very comfortable and clean, with a beautiful garden and patio, spacious kitchen, wonderful living room with a spectacular view of the bay and the old town. The view from one of the bedrooms was so that you did not want to go to sleep and watch the bay all night.
Doganbey is one of a kind and a well-kept secret on the Agean. We cannot wait to be back! Thank you!
