Roads are fairly flat with small hills, little traffic and idyllic scenery of farms and open public lands with old growth scenery. We are located a mile from public (BLM) land for long walks by the canals. All this, and we are less five minutes from major shopping at Whole Foods, Costco, Safeway, Starbucks, great restaurants and brewery, Barnes & Noble and many others . Another five minutes takes you into town to both the popular downtown Bend and The Old Mill District.
We are out of town so taxi only.

Ed and Lynne were great hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable and we felt right at home on their lovely farm. Ed even let our grandsons feed carrots to the horses and visit the baby chicks in the barn. Perfect.
We could not have wished up a better "home away from home" than Juniper Springs Ranch. The apartment is just off the house but it feels very private and it has all the amenities needed for a self sufficient weekend; micro, fridge, coffee maker (with coffee), silverware, cutting boards AND wine glasses! We were welcomed to fresh flowers on the bistro table, a glowing fire (electric fireplace), a herd of curious llamas (do llamas come in herds?) and a view that never failed to take our breath away! With as quiet as it was, you would have thought we were miles from civilization, when in actuality it only took minutes to get to the heart of all that is Bend. We will most definitely return again (and again, and again)...especially if we are sent off on our final morning with more chocolate croissants and lattes! :)
Wonderful hosts! So thoughtful, I can't express enough how easygoing and kind these hosts were to me and my dog. They have thought of everything -- heated towel racks, flannel sheets, detailed instructions and even a chocolate croissant and cappucino in the morning. Thank you !
Spectacular stay! The suite is so comfortable a and welcoming. The location, just a short drive from town is picturesque and quiet, while being convenient for exploring bend.
Edwin and Lynne were very gracious hosts. They greet us on their porch as we arrived in a snow storm. They were so wonderful and brought us coffee and chocolate croissants on our final morning. The room was very cozy, quiet and had everything that we needed. We would highly recommend staying at Juniper Springs when you are visiting Bend.
We loved Ed & Lynne's guesthouse and ranch. Both the people and the animals were so friendly, and my two young dogs loved roaming around meeting the horses and llamas and finding fun smells to explore everywhere. The accommodations are spacious and comfortable, and it's a relaxing and well located jumping off point for expiring all that Central Oregon has to offer. The chocolate croissants and lattes to send us off were the perfect end to our stay.
Best, most wonderful experience! Edwin and Lynne were the greatest hosts, even though they were gone for the weekend. We loved everything about the place!
Ed, semi-retired after 40 years in technology, loves taking care of our 20-acre Juniper Springs Ranch and the animals. Lynne is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Morris Real Estate in Bend selling residential and ranch property. Together we love to entertain! From dinner parties to llama baseball with friends (you have not played baseball until you have to run the bases with a furry friend!) to just sitting in the garden chatting with friends, we love our country life. Lynne also likes horseback riding, hiking, Reiki practice and many outdoor activities including her 1/4 acre flower garden. Ed enjoys fishing, hiking and fixing things around the ranch. We will share with you our love of Central Oregon, where to hike, where to ski, where to eat, where to shop and where you can go just to hang out or walk the River Trail. Come enjoy the magic of Bend.
