  • We stayed two lovely nights at Bohemian Digs on a 10 day cycling tour of the Northwest. The garden suite was everything we needed including a terrific kitchen where we cooked fresh seafood both nights. The location is just a short walk to the beach in a very quiet part of Saltspring Island. The hosts were fantastic and very accommodating. They even gave us a lift to the Ferry at 6:00 in the morning so we didn't have to ride our bikes in the rain/dark.

  • For my first time in Salt Sping Island, it was a good introductory place. Bus drops you off right in front of the house, and close to the water. Karena was very responsive in her e-mails and thoughtful with the details of the house (she had fresh tulips and eggs/bread/juice in the fridge). Overall, a cozy option for 2-4 people travelling to SSI.

  • My husband and I had a very comfortable stay at Bohemian Digs. Karena and her family were very helpful and friendly, and were part of our enjoyable 6 day stay on Salt Spring Island. My son and his wife came from Vancouver for the weekend; Karena's place was ideal because there are two bedrooms. She didn't charge us any extra for the additional guests, which was much appreciated.
We especially liked the shower, the big backyard and the treehouse!

  • We stayed at Bohemian Digs for two nights over Applefest. We were two moms with three kids. The place was (email hidden)ean, roomy, cozy and quiet (except for us), with a beautiful backyard. We would stay there again. Thanks Karena

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Bohemian Digs. The space was clean and comfortable. It was great to have somewhere to relax on rainy mornings and while our daughter napped.

The location is wonderful for beach combing, and there's a nice little cafe nearby, but it is a bit of a drive to the main town of Ganges.

  • We had a charming stay at Karena's place. It has everything you could be looking for, 2 bedroms, the most perfect shower of all, a fantastic garden. It is extremely quiet and peaceful and only steps away from the sea and the lake. Karena was very friendly and did her best to make sure we were comfortable. We would love to come back and stay a little longer.

  • We enjoyed our time on Salt Spring Island. Karena was very helpful with suggestions about places to go and things to see. The bottom floor unit in her house was comfortable. After a few days in a hotel, it was nice to have a kitchen with some basic supplies and a refrigerator. Our kids really enjoyed the garden....With so much space to roam in and the lovely tree house, we were able to have a few quiet mornings to ourselves. They enjoyed the cats and Karena's dog was friendly, too. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

  • A small home away from home, close enough to all the attractions (by car), clean, comfortable and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed Salt Spring Island!

  • Karena and her family were great hosts! The suite was private, well kept, and had everything we needed for our two week stay. The shower was very comfortable and towels were supplied, which we really appreciated. Karena was very accommodating with our arrival time and they even shared some home made dessert with us. One thing we would like to note is that there isn't much Rogers cell phone reception on Salt Spring Island so visitors may be better off with Telus. Wifi was excellent in the suite so we had no problems there!

Salt Spring was lovely with lots of explore and we would definitely recommend staying with Karena!

  • karena and her husband were so friendly and helpful, and their large back garden was a loafer's paradise. Quiet, beautiful setting with plenty of privacy. Absolutely lovely place and wonderful hosts!
