Do Drop Inn is a terrific place and we loved it. Very convenient location and spotless in every regard. The cottage is suffuse with oodles of charm and warmth and we enjoyed staying there, short though our visit was. Ann is extremely thoughtful and made us feel welcome with fresh, local bread, fruit, fresh coffee, and other such assorted goodies. These may not sound like much, but, to me, the small things are what stand out and ultimately make for memorable experiences. The back garden is lovely and it was wonderful to just sit out there and drink in the coming day with morning coffee. That fact that our dog, Cooper, loved it too was icing on the cake. Overall, we would recommend Do Drop Inn to any visitor (to Charlottesville) and we certainly hope to be back soon (for a much longer visit, hopefully!). Thank you!
This was definitely our home away from home, filled with authentic southern charm and hospitality. We loved it from the moment we opened the door - antique furniture, lace curtains, a charming garden with a table to sit outdoors and drink coffee or wine, both of which our hostess left for us as a gift.
I traveled with my 85 year old mother and my sister - we enjoyed that the house was ranch, with no stairs (although there are stairs on the front walkway). The bathroom was also charming, small but with plenty of room to put our personal items and with a comfortable shower. The living room was spacious and the chairs comfortable. The scent of gardenias in the garden reminded my mother of her childhood.
Away from the hubbub, but only 5 minutes from excellent restaurants and other attractions. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
My family had the loveliest time staying in Ann's home. The decor was cozy, everything was super comfortable, and the garden is glorious! We had an easy time getting around since it is so close to downtown Charlottesville. Ann made us feel very welcome with a few bottles of wine and delicious breakfast things, including fruit, banana bread, and local coffee.
My parents are already talking about the next time we visit, they had so much fun. It really feels like a home away from home. Thanks Ann for everything, we'll be back!
Do Drop Inn is very charming and as described. It is about as chill location and surrounding that I've experienced in this type of rental. The sheets are yummy and I slept like a bug in a rug. Thread count is important to me and this place didn't let me down! Thanks Ann for such a comfortable time in Charlottesville.
We loved staying at Ann's charming Inn during our four day trip to Charlottesville! The accommodations were welcoming and the Inn's location was perfect for us as it is centrally located between the UVa. Grounds and Downtown Charlottesville. The backyard, living area, and rooms were spacious and accommodating, and we felt right at home. I would stay at Ann's Do Drop Inn again without hesitation. Thank you, Ann!
We had a wonderful time. We had breakfast outside everyday because the backyard is a slice of heaven. Highly recommend this house for dog owners! Our pup, Charlie, had just as much fun as we did. The house looks better than the pictures if that's possible. Each room has wonderful light in it from the windows and we felt the sun everywhere in the house. Finally, the swing on the front porch is very romantic. The Do Drop Inn is a wonderful romantic getaway!
