We have 2 dogs but they will not be at the Do Drop during your stay.
This was my fourth stay at Ann's lovely cottage. Because of this I didn't pay attention to the e-mail confirming my reservation and failed to notice I had given a wrong arrival date. Arriving a day early created some confusion that Ann dealt with graciously despite my error, for which I am appreciative. In addition to the cottage being its usual graceful self, this was my first stay during Springtime - - sitting in the spacious backyard was a lovely bonus.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Do Drop Inn. Ann left helpful notes, and a bottle of wine for us. We will definitely recommend Ann and the Do Drop to any of our friends visiting Charlottesville.
Wonderful stay in Charlottesville! Pictures are very accurate of Ann's charming home. Ann was a great host! I would stay here again.
The Do Drop Inn made us feel right at home, and Ann was a great host. She was responsive when contacted, left appropriate instructions for how things work and really paid attention to detail with respect to making her guests comfortable. The house was exactly as described and has everything you need for a short or a long stay (we spent 3 nights there). We really enjoyed spending time reading on the front porch, as well as in the back yard. With respect to location, the house is within a short walk to both downtown Charlottesville and the UVA campus. We would definitely like to stay there again the next time we are in Charlottesville!
The cottage is enchanting and was very comfortable for my son and me as we had one night in the area touring colleges. It was such a cozy retreat and reprieve from a hotel stay for me. I'm always traveling for work.
She made us very comfortable, beds were comfy and everything clean.
Dogs do love here and we knew that but the hair might bother you if you have allergies like my son did. I would certainly stay again.
And yes the neighborhood seems a little unusual but everyone was very friendly.
Hosts like Ann are what make Airbnb so great. The house itself was lovely, nicely decorated, very comfortable bed (which I don't think you necessarily find as often at airbnb's), and extremely clean and easy for guests with instructions on using the tv, etc. We visited for my boyfriend's birthday and were greeted with a balloon, card, and wine, absolutely above and beyond what was expected. Ann was flexible when we requested to leave a bit later on Sunday which was extremely helpful. I would recommend anyone who would like a homey accommodation in Charlottesville to stay here!!! Parking on the street in front of the house was also extremely easy.
This was my third stay at the Do Drop Inn. It is consistently clean, comfortable and homey - a little oasis during my work week there. Ann is unfailingly responsive and a pleasure to work with.
Originally from Birmingham, AL, I have been a happy Charlottesville resident for 14 years. A graduate from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN, I enjoy the outdoors, gardening, live music, theatre, delicious food and wine. Thank you for considering the Do Drop Inn for your Charlottesville stay!
