Ann was very easy to deal with and booking was straightforward. We loved the house. It was very characterful, welcoming and also very central. Very peaceful at night. We felt at home right away. Ann left us wine, milk, juice, cake and fruit which was a nice touch. Would have no hesitation in recommending.
Our host was great. The property was even cuter than advertised, with the back yard especially quaint. The house is walking distance to the pedestrian mall and to campus. We were very pleased with our stay.
My experience with the host, Ann, was superior! She left two CDs with a bottle of wine, fresh fruit, orange juice and bagels to welcome our arrival. This home is sunny, bright, with a nice back yard or swing on the front porch to relax in. The neighborhood is eclectic and within walking of the University of Virginia campus, the mall, health clubs, and the Monticello-Saunders trail for excellent jogging or walking experiences.
We had a lovely stay at Do Drop Inn. The host, Ann, was prompt and helpful in all of her communications. The house itself is perfectly situated near downtown Charlottesville and is a 10 minute walk to many restaurants. The UVA campus is a short 5 - 10 minute drive and well worth visiting.
The house is beautifully decorated with original art and Ann's love for music shines throughout with a well-stocked music library and music industry memorabilia. The house was well stocked with all of the necessary essentials. Ann thoughtfully left a complementary bottle of wine, fruit, juices, milk, and a breakfast bread to welcome us. The two bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The single bathroom is adequate for up to 4 people. The only thing we desired were for some closet space to hang our dress clothes; however, we managed without.
In summary, we would absolutely stay at Do Drop Inn again!
Had a great stay at the Do Drop Inn, very adorable, great central location, however neighborhood is a bit more run down than expected. Beautiful home and Ann was easy to communicate with. Lots of nice little touches, bottle of wine, bread etc...lovely stay!
We greatly enjoyed our visit at the Do Drop Inn. The house was comfortable, charming, and representative of old world Charolottesville. The gardens were likely the most ejoyed aspect of the home by my family. Ann did a great job making sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay.
Great hostess, lovely location and home.
Although the neighborhood is up and coming, there was not a moment when we felt uncomfortable. Thanks for a really nice stay.
The Dew Drop was as charming as advertised. Ann was very friendly and accomodating over email. When we arrived there was a very welcoming presence...fruit, wine, clear instuctions. The home itself was very comfortable and perfect for four people. She also followed up after our visit to see if we had a good visit in Charlottesville!
Ann was lovely to work with & made the reservation/check-in process a breeze. The neighborhood wasn't great, but was so convenient to everything which made up for it. Plus, her adorable home is such a peaceful refuge we hardly wanted to leave! We also brought our dog who adored the doggie door & fenced in backyard. Unfortunately, it rained our whole visit but we'd love to come back when it's warmer to take advantage of the patio & porch!
The Do Drop Inn was perfect for our family get together in Charlottesville. Ann was easy to communicate with prior to our trip, answering our many questions promptly. The house was very clean, cheerful and inviting. We were delighted to find a local bread, wine, fruit and the refrigerator supplied with condiments and spices. Thank you Ann!! Both the back garden and the front porch were delightful retreats after a day of sightseeing. We recommend the Do Drop Inn to anyone wishing to relax and see the many historical sites in the area.
Ann's house is a cute bungalow that is centrally located in Charlottesville. She had wine, fruit, homemade bread, etc. waiting for us, which was a great welcoming touch. We also really enjoyed her CD collection in the guest bedroom. The neighborhood was more rundown than we were expecting, but the house itself was just as described. Ann was a great host!
