Ann's place was the perfect oasis we needed during our time in Charlottesville. It was clean, homey, and well-equipped. Ann was easy to communicate with, and went above and beyond with her personal touches. The location was ideal - close to restaurants as well as UVA. We hope to come again!

I absolutely loved my stay at Do Drop Inn. The cottage is so incredibly charming. The neighborhood was great - very quiet. Super close to everything you need. Walking distance to bars/restaurants. Modern appliances without losing charm/authenticity. I would definitely stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ann's! The location is perfect -- just a few blocks from Preston Ave with restaurants, markets and my favorite bakery in the entire world, MarieBette (can't visit C'ville without stopping in for their Financiers, Kougin Amin and the Banana Sourdough), and in the other direction a few blocks from West Main with tons of wonderful restaurants and shops. Just a few minutes drive from the downtown mall in one direction and the University in the other. If you are there over a weekend, the Farmer's Market on Saturday is lots of fun to wander around! Plenty of on street parking in front of the adorable cottage with its welcoming red door and porch swing. The landscaping is beautiful -- all the spring flowers were in bloom when we were there. Loved the home's cozy and eclectic vibe! Not big enough for a large crowd, particularly with just one bathroom, but it had everything we needed for my husband, my daughter and myself to be very comfortable. Ann has thought of just about everything. Whenever I was wondering something, I soon found a note with just the info I needed (ex: the wifi code is in a note on the router) Ann also provided breakfast (coffee, teas, milk, juice, and breakfast bakery items), a bottle of wine and a Dave Matthews CD. So thoughtful! We loved the beautiful patio where we ate several meals and enjoyed the bottle of wine. The living room set-up is not ideal for group TV viewing, one big (very comfy) chair in front of the TV, but we were so busy wasn't an issue for us. Instead we waited till bedtime and made use of the TV in the bedroom. We particularly appreciated that the TVs had Netflix. Lovely weekend at the Do Drop Inn!

Centrally located house walkable to most everything. Ann was a terrific host with excellent communication and tasty treats in the kitchen for our arrival. A solid airbnb experience

If you have allergies that might be exacerbated by staying in an older, dusty home with mold then this is likely not the place for you. We had to cut our trip short due to severe allergies to this home. The location is convenient to downtown, but I wish I had done a street view prior to booking as the neighborhood did not feel overly safe. The owner emailed us several days later with a list of complaints which I've never before experienced, nor was I allowed to defend. Overall this was a terrible experience and has made me never want to use Airbnb again.

Response from Ann:
We have been superhosts for several years on AirBnB and have never had any issues nor negative reviews. We pride ourselves on offering a very clean, quaint bungalow in a great location in Charlottesville. Our house is cleaned thoroughly before and after every guest! We never heard one word from the guest until we reached out about an unpaid pet fee and stained linens from their pet. Immediately we received a negative review which we find a bit suspect. Our hundreds of glowing reviews speak for themselves. We take being AirBnB superhosts very seriously and will not be distracted by one unfair review.

We loved staying at Ann's place for the weekend. It was so cozy and comfortable with two bedrooms, a nice living room, dining room, and kitchen. Ann left us a bottle of wine, a Dave Matthew's CD and plenty of goodies to eat. We had a small dog with us and there was plenty of space for the dog to run around in the back yard. The location is close to the UVA campus, the corner, and the Downtown mall. We were in town for my son's concert so we drove to most places but we also took plenty of walks around the neighborhood and felt safe and comfortable. The price was very reasonable for 3 people and a dog and we would highly recommend Ann's house for a wonderful weekend in Charlottesville!
