The space
This newly constructed lodge provides luxury and comfort while placing you right at the edge of the Alaskan wilderness. Enjoy summer hiking and biking trails, fishing in nearby creeks and rivers, and accessible cross-country skiing and snowshoeing trails in winter. You'll feel worlds away from it all, yet be just 30 miles from the nearest town.

From the property, you're minutes away from world-class fishing at Sheep Creek, Goose Creek, Montana Creek, and the Kashwitna River. We can recommend excellent fishing guides if needed. Explore local ATV trails or venture into millions of acres of public lands for winter snow machining, with direct access from the property. Snow machine rental and delivery can be arranged, or you can bring your own. The local dog mushing community maintains many miles of multi-use trails in winter, perfect for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Other activities include dog sled tours, flightseeing, river rafting, and hiking. Sojourn Lodge also serves as a great base for trips to Hatcher Pass, Talkeetna, or even Denali National Park. Nearby dining includes Sheep Creek Lodge and the Denali Brewing and Tasting Room.

Enter Sojourn Lodge through the arctic entry into an open-concept living space with large prow windows and a fully equipped kitchen. A coffee station offers local brews from Farm Loop Coffee and teas from Felicity Loft. The kitchen island seats six.

The living room features a cozy wood stove, a large seating area for gathering, and a smart TV with Netflix, Hulu, and Disney+. Large windows brighten the room and offer views for bird watching in summer and stargazing in winter. Step out onto the deck to relax and take in the serene surroundings. You can cook something on the grill, or sit by the gas fire pit. You might even see the northern lights, a passing moose, or local dog teams training below.

The lodge has three bedrooms: a loft bedroom with a king bed, queen sofa bed, and twin sofa bed; and two downstairs bedrooms—one with a queen bed and twin sofa bed, and the other with a queen bed. Two full bathrooms, one in the loft and one downstairs, ensure comfort for all guests. A separate laundry room with a washer and dryer is available for your convenience.

We provide a wood stove guard, high chair, and pack 'n play upon request to ensure your stay is comfortable and safe. Experience the perfect blend of comfort and the rugged beauty of Alaska at Sojourn Lodge.

Guest access
You will have full private access to your parking area, home, and deck. There is a detached garage beside the house that you will not have access to. The home is on property that also houses two yurts, one smaller guest home, and the owner's home. Please be respectful of others' space.

The owner is a dog musher who lives on the property. For safety reasons and out of respect for the well-being of our sled dogs, guests are prohibited from accessing the sled dog yard located down at the end of the driveway to the right.

You may see other guests on the grounds near the other rentals, but your area will be private and reserved for you.

Other things to note
This home in generally easily accessible, but between November and April there may be rare times of year that AWD will be helpful in accessing the home. Access during breakup and the muddy season, or after heavy snow fall might be more difficult.

The home is on a well and septic tank, so please don't flush anything but toilet paper down the toilets.

For the protection and safety of the home owners & guests, this home is equipped with an outdoor security cameras that take active video and audio recordings on the in the driveway and exterior of the house.

The home is in an area popular with dog mushers and you'll likely hear the howling and singing of the dogs during your stay.
