  • We arrived at 6am with flight delayed originally at 2am arrival. There was no pickup arranged even if I responded on email (they said they do not check emails on weekends) and when I canned the apartments, they were not aware of our booking yet which caused me to worry so much at the airport. It was very hard to communicate with Sole Mare though the owner and management of the apartments did everything to help us and get us to checkin. Good thing the place was amazing and the apartment and management was helpful but Sole Mare (this registered here in AirBnB was not reliable and helpful at all. Regarding the apartment, we encountered problems with the shower as it caused some flooding but overall, the apartments had a good location across the bakery, beside the grocery, car rental, and the best restaurants of Oia were nearby plus Caldera view was walking distance as well. I recommend the apartment but not though this Sole Mare agency registered here so just (website hidden) the apartments and contact them directly.

  • This place is amazing. Close to the sunset and the Oia walking path (which is full of different shops). There are many supermarkets close as well. Towards the bus station there is a bakery which is highly recommended. The only problem with the apartment is the wifi. We did not get any wifi in our room. And you have to stand at the top of the hill to get one bar of reception which is still extremely slow. Other then that it is in an amazing location and I would stay again!

  • We picked this apartment for it's location and in that respect we were not disappointed. Oia is one of the most beautiful parts of Santorini, receiving bus loads of visitors from other parts of the island that come to the famous sunset point. The bus terminal is a short walk away and one can easily get buses to Fira and then onwards to other popular Santorini spots, such as the beaches. The apartment itself has a rustic charm but be warned, the bathroom is very VERY small. The pantry is adequate, the air-conditioning effective and we appreciated the electric kettle and the coffee percolator. We were less than satisfied with the housekeeping - the beds were left unmade, the dishes unwashed and the apartment unswept on 2 out of the 3 days of our stay. We went on the Caldera + Hot Springs + Thirassia tour but felt it wasn't worth the 30 Euro charge - the ferry was terribly overcrowded and the cost did not even include a bottle of water on board or the "entrance fee" of euro 2/- at the Caldera! Strolling around in Fira, we later found the same tour for less than Euro 20/-! Andreea and her brother were extremely helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed 'Santorini Mou', the restaurant that Andreea recommended and she even booked for us. They were also very helpful about keeping our luggage for a few hours after we checked out, as we had a late ferry back to Athens. Overall, this is a good apartment for the cost, (everything in Santorini is very expensive) conveniently located and with decent, helpful hosts - but don't expect a luxurious experience.

  • Great and comfortable place. Very close to caldera view so although there isn't a caldera side view from the room you can walk 50 m and get it. View of other side of island is pretty. Andrea was very prompt

  • A friend and I booked our accommodations in Oia at the last minute. Travel & Tourism Greece Sol e Mare didn't have availability in the place that we were looking at but were able to offer us a studio apt. at Casa Francesca, a building with 9 studios.

The studio offered plenty of space, including a kitchenette, and had a/c and consistent wifi. It also had a nice, albeit hazy, view of the sea (not the caldera). We didn't use the outdoor space during our stay, but there is good spot to watch the sunset if you don't want to deal with the crowds.

Casa Francesca is located about a 10-minute walk from the bus stop, which is good, because you're unlikely to get direct transfer from the port. It is also just a block away from the marble-paved pedestrian walkway. However, it is on the main road, which isn't pedestrian-friendly at all.

If you're traveling to Santorini, do yourself a favor and stay in Oia. Casa Francesca is a good option if you don't want to pay for the caldera view and don't mind playing chicken with KTEL buses and mopeds.

  • This was a super cute apartment and in a perfect location. My family of 5 stayed there quite comfortably for three days. It was clean and had the basics in the kitchen. The manager was waiting to greet us and give us information about Santorini. He was easily accessible during our stay if we needed anything. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

  • We are a family of four adults and were able to fit comfortably in this unit for a good price. It had an outside patio and was so close to the caldera where the view and the shops and cafes are so wonderful and other worldly.
The people who looked after us were very friendly and accommodating and we were treated to a run down on the history and recommended places to see on our arrival.

  • I booked one of the Oia apartments and found it clean and very well-located to the town. The host is a local tour operator that manages numerous apartments and villas and I found them very helpful and quick to respond. The apartment had a view of the ocean on the side of the island that faces away from the caldera. It's only a few steps from the main pedestrian boardwalk in Oia and on the same block as a bakery, a traditional Greek restaurant, and an excellent art gallery. A few minutes away by foot is the Oia bus terminal, from which you can catch a local bus every half hour to Fira, the main town in Santorini. Oia itself is charming and picturesque, and the apartment was a great base for wandering through the tiny town. The lofted double bed and 2 single beds in the apartment provide plenty of space for 4 people, and the fact that there's a loft makes the space feel bigger. There's a basic kitchen setup and utensils should you want to cook. The bathroom and shower are on the small side, but that seems to be the case around the island- and there's plenty of hot water. Would be a great space for families or a group!
