Lovely 1 bdrm apt - great location!

Apartment - Entire home/apt · 7th Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11215, United States

The Space

Our beloved, cozy apartment features an exposed brick wall in the main room, large west-facing windows providing lots of afternoon sunlight. We are on the top (4th) floor, meaning more light and no noise from upstairs neighbors (unless you count the squirrels zipping across the roof in the mornings).

The kitchen is part of the main room and is small but fully functional with oven, stove, fridge and added counter space, plus table. There is a super comfy (Keetsa) queen-sized bed in the bedroom, and a full-size tub in the bathroom. The apartment is best suited for 2 people, though up to 2 additional people may stay using our air mattress (upon request). The space has a very pleasant, relaxed feel to it. We have plants in every room.

Also, please be aware that we have a small pet hognose snake that lives in a locked tank on a shelf in the main room. He is harmless, only 1ft long, unable to escape, makes no noise and will not require any care or attention during your stay. You might not even see him as he hides most of the time. However, if you have a phobia of snakes you may want to consider other accommodations.

Our apartment is directly upstairs from a high-end market, two blocks from the beautiful Prospect Park, and a five-minute walk from the F/G subway lines. We are surrounded by coffee shops and restaurants of all types, and our favorite little wine bar/date spot is across the street. We are happy to provide a full list of our top recommendations.

  • Erin's apartment was perfect for our stay. Not only is it in a great location, but it is very clean, comfortable, and quiet. We loved the exposed brick wall and plants. I would stay here again anytime I'm visiting Brooklyn!

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely, homey apartment!
It was just as described and photographed, and very clean. Erin was very helpful in our preparation for the trip, and she arranged for a friend to meet us and drop off the key.
A/C was great on a couple of warm days, and the kitchen was just what we needed (read: french press!) The snake was a polite roommate, popping his head up a few times to say hello; no concerns here.
No TV or audio hookups, but we took advantage of this to "unplug" and read.
It is quite a trek upstairs to the apartment, but that was a negligible concern.

The location was great: grocers, restaurants and bars are within walking distance, the park is not far, and the subway was very close.
If in this part of Brooklyn again, we will definitely look to see if this space is available! Highly recommended.

  • Erin's apartment was fantastic! Great location, super nice style, and plenty of space to relax for the weekend. Although we never met Erin in person, she gave great recommendations for things to do and see in Park Slope, and put us in touch with a friend who made moving in and out very easy. A great experience all around. Highly recommended!

  • Seriously excellent location if you want to walk only a few blocks to the G/F trains and Prospect Park! Loved the bodegas nearby (and literally on the ground floor) to grab grub/drinks. The location alone is wonderful, but the apartment is also just fine. Fits a couple best. Plenty of typical amenities and comfortable space to lounge in. 4th floor top, so be ready for some flights, but no big surprise considering the brownstones a-plenty in that area.

  • This was a very comfortable and warm place to stay in a great part of park slope. Erin was a gracious and attentive host. Perfect--I'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

We are an engaged couple, San Francisco transplants calling Brooklyn home. We love it here! We are very active and outdoorsy (we actually began our relationship during a 27-day long trek on the John Muir Trail). We love climbing and biking, and we get out camping as much as possible. When we're not adventuring outdoors, we like adventuring in the kitchen cooking most of our meals at home (rare in NYC!). We also do enjoy adventuring at the local restaurants and bars, and spend plenty of time throwing frisbees in Prospect Park. We generally see life as an adventure, which is why we thought AirBnB was such a great idea!
