We have a lovely sunny and spacious double private room in Poet's Corner, Brighton & Hove. Very conveniently located 8 minutes' walk from Hove train station (on the mainline to London Victoria and London Bridge) and 10 minutes from beautiful Hove seafront. Very close to a great array of fantastic local pubs and many local shops (on Blatchington Road, George Street, Church Road and Portland Road). Trains to Brighton take 4 minutes and run every 10 minutes. We are also 2 minutes' walk away from a bus stop which will take you into the centre of Brighton.
The double bedroom is a bright and sunny room with a very comfy kingsize double bed, on the second floor of a beautiful period 3 storey 3 bedroom home inhabited by Chris & Hannah (easy going, friendly ex-backpackers) and little Jack (17 months old, relatively quiet!).
You will have exclusive use of a large bathroom with a bath and power shower. We can also provide a hairdryer and hair straighteners if required to save you space in your suitcase!
You will have access to our fully equipped kitchen which you are free to use and help yourself to tea/coffee/hot chocolate.
We provide clean linen and towels and offer a breakfast of a selection of cereals, toast and jam, and sometimes pancakes with maple syrup, mmm! I love to bake so there are usually freshly baked muffins, cupcakes or cookies to help yourself to in the kitchen as well.
You are more than welcome to share our kitchen, living/dining room and patio garden.
You will have access to free wifi (you can borrow a laptop for use in the house if you want) and are welcome to browse and borrow from our book and CD collections. If cycling or skateboarding are your thing you are also welcome to borrow our bikes and skateboard! Hove beach and lagoon are a short walk away, and we can provide you with picnic blankets, a picnic basket with picnic crockery, and beach towels if you fancy having al al fresco DIY lunch/dinner out.
If you need parking we can offer you a visitors parking permit which will entitle you to nearby roadside parking at a cost of £5 per day.
We welcome people from all over and all walks of life. Our room can comfortably host one couple and we can also accomodate couples with a baby/toddler (we can provide a travel cot and various other things for kids!).
Our prices are super cheap because this is a new venture for us, so take advantage!
Originally from Berkshire/Buckinghamshire, we have lived in Brighton/Hove for 10 years now (minus a couple of years away backpacking) so know and love this city pretty well and will be pleased to give you any advice and tips for making the most of your stay in Brighton & Hove.

Hannah and Chris are so welcoming, the breakfast is amazing and the room and bathroom are lovely. I would definitely recommend staying here.
John & I stayed with Hannah & Chris & their son Jack just for one night, They were fantastic & couldn't have asked or received more. They're very relaxed & interesting to chat to. Our room was fantastic as is their home, full of eclectic items from their travels. We are both vegan & Hannah had even made us chocolate cake for our arrival!! Breakfast was amazing too, we couldn't have had a better time. They are are a lovely couple & family & we hope to return to the area & stay with them once again, certainly wouldn't look to stay anywhere else :)
I had a lovely stay with Hannah and her family. The room was exactly as in the pictures - good size with a comfortable bed. Hannah was very warm and welcoming. The location of the house is great - very near Hove station and buses into Brighton. I would recommend this place and would happily stay again.
Rowan and I had a lovely stay in this beautiful house. Hannah, Chris and Jack made us feel very welcome and treated us to cake upon arrival.
The room was perfect and felt very private, we enjoyed waking up to the sun shining. Breakfast was DELICIOUS and exactly what we fancied.
Thank you very much for your generous hospitality :)

Hannah and Chris were very welcoming which made this a great place to stay and as the room was very similar to my own bedrooms, sloping ceiling and rooflight windows, it was like home from home.I would highly recommend a stay here!
Hannah was a wonderful host! She made us feel at home. Her breakfast was amazing and her blackberry jam might be a new addiction! I would recommend staying at Hannah's
Hannah and Chris are the perfect hosts. The room in the loft is a lovely place to stay. Wonderfully comfortable bed. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room are a lovely touch. Hannah prepared a breakfast table for us each morning despite having a hectic life with young Jack.
We will most certainly stay again. Thank you
We had a lovely time staying with Hannah, Chris and Jack. They were really welcoming from the moment we arrived (even though we were really late) and took time to show us around and chat. The house is fantastic and the room really spacious and comfortable. As it's at the top of the house there's plenty of privacy and it's nice and quiet. The bathroom is also big and has a great shower!
It's exactly as it says on the advert as well, there is plenty of cake which was hugely appreciated particularly after we'd just run the half marathon!
We would happily stay there again and highly recommend it to others. It's a nice walk into town as well, but not too far from the train station either.
All in all, we really enjoyed our stay!
The room was lovely. At the top of the house, with large and very comfortable double bed and a desk -- I had a lot of work to do, so this was ideal. It was a real luxury, too, to have a bathroom to myself, with a good sized tub!
The house is in a quiet family neighbourhood, and just a ten minute bus ride to the centre of Brighton. I had two excellent meals in nearby pubs.
Chris and Hannah were very friendly and welcoming. Everything about my stay was perfect - except the weather!
Many thanks -- hope to see you again
My stay with Hannah was short and sweet! I was due to come in from London, pick up the keys and head over to a concert in Brighton dome. Hannah was there to welcome and show me around her lovely home. I love looking at the photos and the momentos acquired from her global travels.
I like the little touches she includes in the room - kettle, tea/coffee, maps and leaflets about touristy things to do which shows you how much though she has given to making the visit as comfortable as (website hidden) if you have time, the pizza place before you get to Hannah's house - Pizzaface is worth visiting. Great thin crust pizza and a generous topping
