St. Werburghs is Bristol's best kept secret. It has a friendly vibe with lots of cool little places to discover. The room is spacious yet cosy and the perfect place to retreat from your adventures in Bristol
We live in a 3 bedroom house with a lushious garden. You will be staying in a sunny room which is spacious yet cosy. It has a double bed, built in wardrobe, desk, lamp and hairdryer.
A cosy living room with comfy sofa’s to lounge, lots of interesting books to peruse, a breakfast room connected to a spacious and fully equipped kitchen and a large bathroom with shower.
You can help yourself to fresh coffee and a good selection of teas in the morning. You can make use of the kitchen to prepare meals and have space in the fridge for groceries. For shorter stays you are more than welcome to use our spices and salt & pepper to cook with. You may use our washing machine but ask you make a small contribution to washing powder.
Interaction with Guests
I work between home and my print studio so will probably be around, popping in and out most days.
Situated in the popular and arty area of St. Werburghs which feels more like a village. We have a park with a stream, city farm and a place called the mound where you can get an amazing view of the whole city. We are seconds away from a post office, a fantastic grocery shop with a deli counter, restaurants and handful of cosy pubs, one housing an old school skittle alley. We have an award winning organic supermarket just around the corner with a great cafe and art shop above.
Only 15 minutes walk into central Bristol, close to the cultural hub of Stokes Croft and Gloucester Road, there are numerous bars, music venues, award winning restaurants, cafes and boutique shops to choose from. I have a good knowledge of Bristol and am happy to recommend places and things to do, just ask.
Other Things to Note
The garden is a wonderful place to relax, enjoy your morning coffee or each lunch. We have a large table with chairs and welcome you to enjoy it as much as we do.
We like to keep a clean and tidy house and ask guests to leave things as they found them. We are light smokers but only smoke in the garden and we ask that guests do the same.
Amber was not there during the stay but I knew my way around and she was very accessible. Another lovely stay.
Amber is a wonderful host, very helpful and lovely. The house is amazing and the room is nice and cosy. I would definetely recommend Amber to everyone going to Bristol, for short stays or longer ones like mine.
Relaxed & Easygoin
Altuough Amber was not able to meet me on arrival, eveything was perfectly organised for a chilled stay in this wonderful place.
Thanks once again Amber
Great spot, second time staying and will there recommend it to others. Thanks Amber for the tips on getting about and where to get a cracking breakfast (Bristolian Cafe) near your shop. Very good stay. Handy also for free parking in the area.
Amber made me feel very welcome, greeting me at the door with a hug like I was an old friend.
Warm, clean room in a beautifully decorated house, very comfy bed, powerful, hot shower; exactly what I needed for the couple of nights I was in town.
Would definitely stay again.
The place has a really inspiring and creative atmosphere which made our stay very pleasant. We felt like home! Thanks Amber!

Bristol is a fantastic city, its vibrant cultural, artistic and musical scene are one of the best. I love meeting new people, dancing in the sun, and welcome you into my home.
I enjoy cooking, listening to music, reading, lounging in the sun with a book and going on adventures out of the city.
