You are warmly invited to stay in my convenient Amsterdam home. This location will offer you a mixture of possibilities: enjoying the city of Amsterdam as well as the beauty of nature.
It’s a spacious modern house breathing a pleasant atmosphere with lots of (sun)light and a beautiful garden, that looks like an extension of the livingroom . A comfortable oasis to come home to, after a day/night of vibrant citylife. There is a possibility for 1 extra person to stay (so 5 altogether).
Situated between 2 subwaystations (10 minute walk or 2 minutes by bus) that take you right into the center of the city in 10/15 minutes, it is a great place to stay if you want to enjoy the beautiful city of Amsterdam and everything it has to offer.
This area is known for its African/Carribean atmosphere. There are 2 multi cultural markets in the neighbourhood, where you can buy all kinds of (exotic) foods and clothes and where you can get a flavor of the lively African/Carribean culture in Amsterdam.
The house has a fully equiped kitchen for those who don’t want to eat out every night, there’s free whireless internet and a tv. It has two big bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds.
Close to a main trainstation (15 minutes to Schiphol airport), and close to several main highways in Holland (in all directions) it also allows you to easily visit other cities and places in the country. And quiet rare these days in Amsterdam: there’s free parking space just in front of the house.
If you like a ‘naturebreak’ in between city-experiences: there’s a beautiful natural park closeby (2 metrostops). It has a lake where you can swim and it’s a great area for running , hiking or biking.
The county of Amsterdam demands 5,5% touristtax. I will charge that money serparately (cash) from the fee you pay to airbnb.
The best ways to reach the appartment from Central Station, or from the Center of the City (like ‘Waterlooplein’ or ‘Nieuwmarkt’):
You have 2 possibilities to get to my house by metro:
1) take metro 53 to 'Gaasperplas' and get out at station 'Ganzenhoef' (about 15 minutes) When you get out of the metro station, turn right and walk along the Bijlmerdreef (about 8 minutes walk) to the Johanna Naberstraat (at your right side)
2) take metro 54 to 'Gein' and get out at station 'Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena'. Take bus 47 (to Holendrecht) or 66 (to IJburg) and get out at
stop 'Geinwijk' (ask the driver to warn you). It's just 5 minutes in the bus, but the busstop is only a few minutes walk from my house. When you get
out the bus, cross the street at the crossover and go left (it's on the Bijlmerdreef). Then it's the second street on your right.
From the airport: take a train to Amsterdam Bijlmer Arena station (15 minutes). (Intercitytrains to Eindhoven, Maastricht, Nijmegen, Utrecht, stop at Bijlmer Arena). From there see option 2 above.
Everything was perfect in Josephine's apartment, the place is even better than it looks like in pictures. It was easy to reach the city center and the house is close to the Ziggo Dome Arena as me and my friends were in Amsterdam for a concert.
Josephine was a nice and kind host. I would absolutely suggest this place.
Me and my friends had spent 9 days in that house and were really happy to stay there. There were four of us and we felt very comfortable as it is spacious. Only 10 minutes walk to two subway stations, large supermarket is also close to the house.
You can find everything you need: nice and comfortable furniture, TV, equiped kitchen and charming little garden. Josephine is very welcoming host so we were pleased to meet her and be her guests.
With the highest recommendations! Thank you very much.
Our 5 day vacation was amazing; Josephine was an exceptional host, especially when it came to directions and assisting us when unexpected difficulties arose, she waited for us even though we were a few hours late.
The house is beautiful, it comes fully equip with everything you should need and the bedrooms were comfortable and spacious.
The location is quite when you need it to be, with the excitement of the local market on Saturday where you can purchase fresh goods and clothing.
There are a variety of shops, supermarkets and cafe's a stone’s throw away from the home and the journey to Centraal Station is around 15 minutes on the Metro.
We couldn't have asked for much more, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone looking to stay outside Centraal, but with easy access all day and night.
Situated in a mellow neighborhood within a ten minute walk of a metro stop (which takes you downtown in 15 minutes), the apartment filled all our needs more than well. Josephine is a generous and helpful host.
Wholeheartedly recommend the accommodation.
After staying in the Oasis for 3 weeks, there is nothing negative I can say. Josephine, the owner received us very friendly and even waited for us as we came several hours later than planned! Everything was perfectly organized and all information needed was supplied. The house itself is located very close to the center (no more than 10 min. From center by car) and thanks to the infrastructure of the Netherlands you can reach anything by public transport. The atmosphere of the house is very warm and welcoming, after having had hard working days at the stables, we came home and enjoyed the nice living room and watched a movie or so. Honestly, if you are considering to rent this place, you shouldn! Nothing negative to say.....
Josephine is a very kind host.
She gave us all the infornations we needed about the house, the transportations from and to the Center of the City
The house is clean and silent.we was able to go with our bikes using bicycle paths leaving our car just in front of the door of the house!
A charming apartment, and a great host Josephine. Very attentive to any questions about the city, very helpful to know. A very pleasant stay. Apartment highly recommended.
