All restaurants, pubs and cafeterias, museums and the river promenade are right there, in neighbourhood, although on a very calm and silent small road. Just one street over from the main square in the old city is perfect for someone exploring Gdansk.
You will be welcomed in person by a family member on an arrival.
On the same street Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit was born (1686 – 1736) . A physicist, engineer, and glass blower who is best known for inventing the alcohol thermometer (1709) and the mercury thermometer (1714), and for developing a temperature scale now named after him.
Fahrenheit was born in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, into a German Hanse merchant family, but he spent most of his life in the Dutch Republic. His five children get married and lived in Gdansk in my street ;) where you can see the sign on their house.
Old Town 2 min walk. Annual summer national St Dominik market. Direct Tram to the beach Stogi 20min. Restaurants, clubs and pubs.
Visit the world's amber capital and feel its romantic atmosphere of narrow streets, charming houses, beautiful views and excellent restaurants. See the unique crooked buildings and try to guess the story of a mysterious dog sculpture on one of house facades. Each time you visit Gdansk it reveals to you one of its many secrets.
Hi, just few words:
I am renting my place while I am away, so please, treat and feel like at home too.
Please respect the silence by night as the neighbours and neighbourhood is very quiet too.
If you forget keys you will be charged 100 Euros for someone to bring you another set of the keys.
Thank you for understanding and I hope you will enjoy my place as much as I do.
We had a wonderful time in Gdansk and the apartment was perfect - very close to main part of the Old Town and more than enough space for 2 people. Monika's mum was very friendly.
It our second time in this apartement, a great place to stay when visiting Gdansk. Monica is always very helpful from her location in England, she ordered taxi from and to the airport for us as well.
This is a cosy and homely apartment in a great location in Gdansk old town which features some of Monika's excellent artwork adding a personal feel to the place. Although it's quite compact there's plenty of sleeping and dining space for 3 or 4, with all the facilities you need. Monika and her mum were great hosts, happily accommodating our late arrival and departure times which was much appreciated. Monika was very easy to deal with, promptly replying to emails and texts and also providing useful info about the city. She also has a great sense of humour making communication easy and informal.
Wir haben uns in Monikas Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt, sie liegt super zentral in der Altstadt von Danzig. Eine helle, schön eingerichtete Wohnung
in gutem Zustand. Auch die Schlüsselübergabe hat prima geklappt, nette Nachbarn hatten wir auch. Monikas Informationen im Vorfeld waren sehr nützlich, kann ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.
What can I say? From 5 Stars Monika and her wonderful flat get 10 stars. The flat is really very beautyful, very speacious, clean and it has every accomodation which you need. There was a very warmth welcome by Monikas charming mother. Communication was absolutely perfect. We can recommend to be Monikas guest to everybody. The flat is in middle of the old town. Very quiet. It was a great stay. THANK YOU MONIKA!

I was born, raised and studied in Gdansk. Now, Art Teacher MFA - living and working in London. Willing to give my guests best advice about both towns - with all important sights and points of interest for short and long stay. I have the privilege to invite tourists from all over the world, with whom we can communicate in the fields of culture and tourism. Following the motto "live and let live", our principle is to base host-guest relationship on trust and respect for each other.
I cannot imagine my life without art, coffee, theater, nature, music and my family.
