If you are looking for a rustic farmhouse in Provence, this may be your place, with the following caveats. First, the house is as billed in a quiet and rustic setting that one would picture themselves in when staying in the south of France. You should know though that it is mo…

Response from Hugh And Celina:
It is strange how up to now we seem to have appealed to countless guests who understand that a perfectly ironed set of sheets, 4 pillows on each bed and a perfectly ironed and tasteful duvet cover are more than sufficient for a comfortable nights sleep. If you had wanted, in 40 degree heat, to put a duvet into the duvet cover you would have found one in a drawer in each room. You would indeed have been welcome to use the large olive press room for any of your meals but we felt a table for 6 in your own living room was sufficient for the 3 of you. We therefore thought it superfluous to extend the invitation which we always do. As we have noticed throughout all correspondence that you have a huge propensity to exaggerate everything , you may have been aware of several guests staying that we were not aware of ,as looking at the calendar for that period there were only a couple in the B+B who to our knowledge were out seeing sights from dawn till dusk and the rest of the family were away at the time. We respect utterly our guests privacy in steering clear of the pool area while guests are around as we do for everybody, so again if Celina and I came over to try and make you feel welcome and encroached on your space we apologize, we have had nothing but 5 wonderful star reviews since the beginning . You mention an unheated pool. In this part of the world where temperatures often reach 40 degrees I am not exactly sure if a heating system would have helped unless you were planning to boil an egg and when you refer to a plastic pool you actually mean a pool with a liner. Indeed nature does provide wasps over whom we have few magical powers and watering the lawn excessively attracts mosquito’s which we try to avoid .In this part of the world as mentioned it gets incredibly hot, so the houses have been designed accordingly. There is indeed one bathroom at the moment , hence the competitive price, we have never pretended otherwise. You mention sewage coming out at the back of the lavatory which conjures up pictures of rivers of effluent in your language . In ours we would describe at most a table spoon on the tiled floor. You made no effort to allow us to repair this having already packed your bags before making us aware of the problem which as soon as you did , it was resolved immediately . As for the towels this paints a totally inaccurate picture. We provided you with both bathing towels and new top quality bath towels . Lastly you used Airbnb in the States to paint an entirely fabricated and false picture using the “ Health and Safety “ card as your tool. We were both extremely shocked by your behaviour and unwillingness to look on the positive side and be open to the solution we immediately found. Fortunately 99% of our guests leave us with wonderful memories. It is a question of attitude.

We felt most comfortable with house, surrounding landscape & host from the first moment. A really nice place to make a deep dive into Provence and to see, smell and feel the intensity of the southern France. And also a good starting point for trips to the nearby cultural spots. T…

We had a really nice stay at Hugh's and Celina's place. Their entire family were very friendly and helpful. The place is nicely located near many main attractions. We would be happy to recommend the place for families with or without kids.

Lovely apartment, and very warm and helpful hosts. Hugh and Celina helped us book horse riding on the Camargue, and nearby restaurants for dinner. Peaceful location but close to places to eat and Roman antiquity sites. We highly recommend.
