The B&B facility is an independent unit with a private entrance and is filled with delightful California sunlight, or “romantic” sea fog, depending on the unique micro-climate forecast.
The neighborhood reflects an unique cultural diverse population in San Francisco, far beyond the remaining city. Russian supermarkets, Italian restaurants, newly acquired Chinatown (Clement Street), many Asian ethnic (Korea, Singapore, Thai, Japanese, Burma, Vietnamese) and authentic cuisines and delicacies, Irish bakery and pubs are all spread out within a stretch of 1 to 2 miles. Don't be surprised if you can hear 5 different languages within a block or two of distance. Meanwhile, this area sustains a strong family oriented atmosphere with multiple religious churches and temples, and daycare centers and grade schools and senior centers.
Daily continental breakfast is provided between 6am and 9am, coffee/tea/snacks/light refreshment/WiFi are available throughout the day.
Built in early 1920s and newly remodeled in 2009, Outer Richmond Bed & Breakfast is a traditional Victorian style, 3-story single family house with classic features, conveniently located in the heart of Richmond districts. The geographic features of the Home are 10 minutes walking distance to the north of worldly famous Golden Gate Park and one of the 49 miles scenic areas in San Francisco.
There are streets parking in the areas. The alternate option of transportation tool is Muni, a city public transportation system promised riders not to walk more than a mile to your destination, that is only 20 minutes to SF downtown, Union Square, Cable Car and many tourist points. As mentioned, the Richmond area being one of most enduring marketing ploys is the historical sightseeing spot itself.
We were the only guests in Andrea's place, and I felt as though we were visiting family friends. The large, open, and sunny living room was a comfortable spot for evening relaxation.
Great place! Love the location. Private entrance, clean and great continental breakfast options. Will be back!
Andrea's home is lovely as is the neighborhood! Her home is clean, comfortable and spacious. I like that my room had it's own bathroom and balcony. If you sit out on the balcony in the early morning you can hear neighbors playing very relaxing music. It's not loud enough to hear while you're in bed, so don't worry about being woken up! Kitchen was always stocked with cereal, oatmeal, fruit, yogurt and juice for whenever you got the munchies!
The thing I enjoyed the most about Andrea's home was the abundance of natural sunlight the living room received every morning.
The house is just a few blocks away from the main road where all the restaurants, grocery stores, nail/hair salons are. Golden Gate Park is about a 15 min walk and Golden Gate Bridge is just about an hour walk away.
Andrea was feeling under the weather during my stay, so she wasn't able to make breakfast. She ended up giving me a Starbucks card because she felt bad! Super nice of her to do that.
I really enjoyed my stay here. If/when I ever visit SF again, I will definitely stay with Andrea.
The neighborhood was quiet and family oriented. I enjoyed walking to nearby markets, restaurants, and stores--many places are a 10 min walk. About a 10 min walk to Golden Gate Park. Andrea was very accommodating and quickly returned calls by phone, though she was not intrusive. She was a lovely hostess. Foods were always available on the counter, in the refrig and in the freezer. There were an abundance of yogurts, juice and milk/creamer in the refrig. Heads up that some of the local mom and pop restaurants don't take credit cards but cash only.
The room is clean, comfortable and quiet. It has its own private bathroom. The house is spacious and located in a residential neighborhood. The park and bus stops are not too far. Andrea is a very friendly and helpful host. I would definitely stay there again!

We flew in from Portland, OR - after a several hour flight delay and then arriving to find the BART out of service due to a fallen tree. After this less-than-wonderful trek, I walked into the flat and said aloud, "The space is so lovely!" Intentionally adorned, clean and inviting. And a view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the living room - oh my! Our host generously upgraded our stay to the king room, without additional cost. We had several opportunities to meet Andrea, and she is so very kind. She anticipated our needs, and had a heater in the room - yea! Andrea was THE BEST in regards to responses/communication. Sadly, we were not able to enjoy the baked goods/fresh juices/etc that others wrote about. The bed is also very, very, very x1000 firm - perfect for those who enjoy such accommodations. The neighborhood is residential and we had a terrible time finding a good place to eat/enjoy a cup of coffee (the only good find, was closed due to the New Year's holiday). We were on foot, and found it easy to use the many nearby transit options.
