About this listing
I am Simona, a busy life enthusiasts, living in a cosy two room apartment. I manage a non-profit organisation, which is sheltering 16 former street-children in Ethiopia. So with your booking you can stay in the Vienna city center and save the world at the same time! The Airbnb profit is for now the only income of the organisation, so your payment will be dedicated to our children.
The apartment is located just 300 meters from the famous Stephansplatz in the very city center. Most of the important sites are within walking distance, so you will not be losing any precious time exploring beautiful Vienna. If you are arriving from the airport, you can be in the apartment in 20 minutes, since you will be located just a minute away from the direct airport-train connection CAT, as well as the underground U1, U3, U4 and the main tram stations. This means that you can also reach Schönbrunn, Belvedere, Karlsplatz and all the other places you should not miss while in Vienna, in 15 minutes or less. The apartment is located on a very nice street, filled with little shops and cosy caffees.
In the apartment there is a small kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet, your and my room, as well as a friendly cat named Sigmund (I hope you do not have any cat-allergies :)
I hope you will enjoy your stay with us and I look forward to get to know you soon.
And in case you want to find out more about my organisation, please check us out on:

Apart from your room and bathroom of course, you will have access to the small kitchen, so in case you feel like cooking, or preparing some snacks, feel free to use it.
You also have access to the washing machine and the detergents for washing your clothes.
Other Things to Note
At this point let me try to bring our organisation closer to you. Menschenskind - Care United is a non-profit organisation, responsible for 16 Ethiopian orphans in Bilbala, Ethiopia. Since the beginning of the year two of my friends in Ethiopia are taking care of the children, who mostly lost their parents due to high HIV infection rates in the mountainous region of the Simien Mountains. Also 5 of our children are HIV positive and are since the beginning of the year receiving proper treatment.
The children now started to visit the school, so all together we are responsible for the housing, food, school fees, clothing, medicine and so on. They are children, so also a toy from now and then is very welcome :)

Since I have many courses at University, I would like to ask you to be flexible about check-in. If you contact me short-term before your arrival, I can of course try and tell you if you can check-in during the day.
Apart from that, only respect. Respect for the apartment and neighbours.
Simona's flat is very tastefully decorated. It is on a perfect location as most of the attractions are on a walking distance. There was no hassle in communicating with Neza and check-in, check-out went smoothly.
The apartment and Neza, who took care of things while Simona was away, were absolutely perfect! Neza worked tirelessly to make sure I could check in after my train arrived late, and was so kind during my stay. The apartment was so cozy and clean, and in an amazing location.
This was my first Airbnb experience, and it was a great start. Simona was out of town for most of my stay, but she was always responsive and reliable in communicating with me. Plus, I generally got the flat to myself! The location couldn't have been better, close to the Wien Mitte station, a couple blocks from Stephansplatz, and less than 15-min walk to the Hofburg Palace, where my conference was. Simona gave great suggestions on places to eat and things to see and do, only a couple of which I had time for, unfortunately. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend Simona and her room to a friend.
Simona was away but she arranged for her friend Neza to take care of us. Neza was absolutely wonderful and very attentive. The apartment itself was wonderfully located and beautifully decorated (cool postcards on the walls). It was on the same block as the U3 Stubentor station, and close to great restaurants and the Mozart Haus. Our room was huge and clean.
Simona is the nicest, friendliest host you can possibly have. Unfortunately she was out of town for the half of my trip and we didn't get to talk much, but her friend Neza took care of everything. I had some unfortunate issue with flight getting cancelled and she let me stay another day in her room which was so awesome!
The place is amazing! Location is superb and the house is spacious and clean. Simona is a great and helpful host=]] Sigmund the cat is a great plus! One of the my best stay in my life!!
