The Space

Hi, welcome to Barcelona, welcome to Catalonia.

We can offer our apartment if you want to stay in this special neighborhood called Gracia.

Our apartment is on the second floor of an historial and important building from the XiX century. There are nice paintings in the facade and it has the flavour of the old Barcelona. The apartment, inside, is cosy and sweet.

The apartment is perfect for copules, small familias or independiente travellers, this is the ideal base from which to explore Barcelona in style.

Little important details:

In the apartment there is elevador, internet wifi, hair dresser , iron and ironing board, bed linen and towels, a kettle, toaster, a coffee maker, and something to eat when you arrive from a long trip ...

The apartment is is fully equipped with all you need to spend short or long periods. The kitchen is fitted with all the usual utensils, crockery and spcices. You have an excellent "LLibertat Food Market" just in front of the street where you can buy fresh vegetables, fruit and meat if you want to prepare special dishes. There is a washing machine, a fridge with freezer and an oven.

The bedroom has a double bed, a wardrobe, a little sofa and plenty room to keep your things..

In he living room threre is a TV, a DVD and a sofa bed for two people and some magazines and photos .

In the dining area there is a table and four chairs and a special paintings to enjoy while you are eating..

The apartment is located in the border between Gracia, Sarrià Sant Gervasi and Eixample neighborhoods.
This location has the best of these three areas of Barcelona. From Gracia area it has the charming, the quite and bohemian way of life with many restaurants, bars, small shops,...and from the Eixample and Sarrià areas (Diagonal and Passeig the Gracia) has the smart boutiques, the Gaudí amazing modernist houses "La Pedrera", "Casa Batlló" and "Casa Ametller". It is only a few meters from Diagonal Avenue and Passeig de Gracia.
Apart from this, the apartment is 15 minutes walking to the old city center (Plaza Catalunya and Gothic area). Near the apartment there are three metro stations (L3, L6 and L7) only 3 minutes from the apartment. The area of Gracia is full of culture and quality entertainment if you are interested. You have also a lot of organic groceries and small vintage clothing shops. There are interesting cinemas and theaters as well as famous bars attended by most youngsters in town.

We can offer you plenty information about the city and places around the area, we have been enjoying the place for ages.

You can visit the Gracia neighborhood. Take a drink in one of the several terraces in the nice and quite squares and relax there. Walk down Passeig de Gracia street and will see the smartest boutiques in Barcelona and visit "La Pedrera", "Casa Batlló" and "Casa Milà", the amazing houses Guadí built in the beginning of the last century. At the end of Passeig de Gracia you will find Plaza Catalunya, the main center of Barcelona. From there down there is Las Ramblas and Gothic area. The most charming area of Barcelona is Gracia with its small streets, ideal squares and genuine personality. The atmosphere is young , international and intellectual as you have a lot of events involving culture going on in the district.

There are three possibilities:

A) The easiest way to arrive, but not the cheapest, is taking a taxi at the airport (it costs about 30 euros).

B) Take a train from the airport (Terminal 2) to Passeig the Gràcia. The train leaves every 30 minutes and it costs 3'60 euros per person.

From Passeig de Gràcia you can walk 15' minutes up along to Travessera de Gracia. if you are not with big luggage it is a nice walk, you can enjoy one of the best streets of the city.

if you prefer at Passeig de Gràcia without leaving the station ou can take the underground (green line L3) until Fontana and then walk down Major the Gràcia till Travessera de Gràcia and you will finnd the apartment om your right.

C) Take the Aerobus from the Airport to Plaça Catalunya and then take a taxi or the metro (green line) till Fontana or the FFCC from Plaça Catalunya till Gràcia and arrive to Travessera de Gracia.

  • The contacts were rapidly established from the beginning and very friendly. Although we never got the chance to meet, we spoke and wrote and Nurià was kind, helpful and friendly.

  • Nuria was a great and helpful host and the apartment was just as we expected. All the appliances worked well, the a/c was great and the apartment was well stocked with all a visitor might want or need. Lots of information about Barcelona and an interesting workshop for La Merce right outside our window.
WiFi signal very strong, location near three Metro stops. It was very easy to go anywhere in the city by Metro or bus. It was good to be away from the massive number of people but close to the Mercat Libertat and many bars, tapas places and restaurants. A great choice for anyone visiting Barcelona.

Vielen Dank!

  • I stayed in Nuria's apartment from April 30 through Monday morning May 5. It was a great apartment. I was met by her friend Federico who was very nice and friendly and showed me different places on the map to go. The apartment is pretty spacious and is so beautifully decorated and has all of the things you would expect to find in a little apartment so that you can cook without having to go out if you want. I really liked the fact that there is a large grocery store very nearby the apartment so I was able to cook. The apartment is also very near Las Ramblas and a lot of the clubs and nightlight. There is a lift which was great because my bags were very heavy and awkward. I adored this apartment. It was a little chilly in the evening but Nuria has several space heaters in the apartment which worked perfectly. I was also worried because I didn't bring my hairdryer, but Nuria had one. I had no idea how to work the washing machine, and there may have been instructions somewhere, I just didn't see them. One general comment is that throughout Spain, I noticed that no one uses washrags/washcloths for washing the face. It would be nice if these were supplied for the clients who do because otherwise you have to do with out or use a big towel and get it all wet and nasty. I would definitely recommend Nuria's apartment, it is bright and lovely. Like most of the apartments in Europe though, be mindful that there are neighbors with windows close by, and you can't walk around naked if the curtains are open lol.

  • We enjoyed our stay at Gracia Essence in Barcelona very much! It is well located between two metro stations with many bars, restaurants, bakeries, grocery stores, and shops well within walking distance. Even though it is in the center of a busy area, the apartment is very quiet and comfortable. The lift is extremely small, but we were so glad it was there! We had an issue with the internet, and Nuria was very responsive - she had it repaired the very same day! She is an excellent host, and we highly recommend her apartment in Barcelona!

  • We enjoyed an easy and comfortable stay at Nuria's one bedroom apartment. It was in a good location, near to public transport, interesting shops, markets and we were able to walk to quite a few tourist attractions. The apartment was quiet and suitable for cooking the occasional meal. We found the space clean and were able to warm up the apartment on one wet, cold day, and also get a nice breeze through on the warm evenings. There was good hot water, and a cute, small lift to carry one person and there bag up the few flights to the apartment. Nuria greeted us to give us the keys and left us to it, just checking in via email. There is also some useful information about Barcelona on the kitchen table. We are very happy to recommend it.
