Interaction with Guests
I will try to contact often to the guest just to be sure he or she is happy there. If I can I love to welcome people if I can't a friend do it for me.
It was a lovely village at the begining of the 20th century and it has the same essence now. Everything is quite charm and small. People are really nice and open, markets and little shops are full of positive energy!
You have the bus stop just next to the apartment and two underground line just a few minutes. You can walk easyly to the very centre... In a few minutes you are in the most beautiful house of Gaudi : Casa Batlló.
We are really happy to welcome you in our little place in the centre of Barcelona, we just ask respect for the place and quietness at night.
Although Nuria could not meet us, her friend, Frederico, greeted us warmly and gave information about the apt. the local neighborhood and the metro. The apt. was great and we would stay there again. Great location!
Me and my two friends truly enjoyed our stay at Nuria's place! We didn't meet Nuria, but communication went smoothly. The location was excellent, with a supermarket, food market and lots of small shops nearby. And more important: Gràcia is such a nice neighborhood.
With an extremely small elevator, yet big enough for your luggage, you reach Nuria's place. The stairs are nice to walk off some calories obtained at the bars en restaurants :).
It's a cozy apt, the bed a bit small for two friends maybe, but doable. The sleeping couch is not too soft, but after a long day of walking and sight seeing, it'll definitely do as well.
Kitchen and bathroom were very clean and were equipped with everything you need.
So great stay at a great location!
Nuria is a nice host. The apartment look exactly the same as the photo. It's clean and well equipped. I will definitely to stay in this apartment again when I travel to Barcelona.
The description of the apartment was accurate, and we felt good in the apartment.
Nuria was a great host. She was very accommodating, as we had delay issues with our plane and met us later than usual check in time. We loved Gracia, and the apartment itself is very close to the city center so the location is perfect. The apartment is perfect for two people and we were able to cook breakfast in the morning, as there were ample cooking supplies.
The apartment was comfortable, well lit and conducive to a restful time. The building was quiet as was the street at night and the apartment had access to adequate daylight through two air wells. The street and neighborhood seemed very safe. The apartment was well located for shopping, groceries, restaurants, bars and excursions across Barcelona. The apartment was well stocked with dishes, utensils and pots and had all the required soap and cleaning agents. The washing machine worked well, although it has an unusual start and stop so it is important to read the instructions that Nuria has left. Hot water was in good supply and the shower was effective. The bed was very comfortable and the duvet was light and warm. The couch and chair in the living room were both comfortable. The TV worked well as did the Internet. The gas range was very efficient and easy to use, as was the microwave.
We would have two suggestions. The first is that the bathroom and kitchen be subjected to a deep cleaning. The light blue bathroom floor could be nice enough but it really needs a good scrubbing to get rid of the accumulation of grime to bring the pleasant blue coloring to the surface. The kitchen pots need to be examined, the oldest ones removed and the rest thoroughly scrubbed, A cleaning sponge with a rough scrubbing side (e.g. scrunge) would be a useful addition to the kitchen so that guests can scrub the pots clean as they use them.
Our second suggestion is that it would be good to reduce the clutter so that more useful surfaces are left open to guests. Having so many cards and ornaments lying around makes the apartment pleasant and homey looking. However, too many things make it inconvenient for guests because they have to move the decorations out of the way so that table tops, for example, are more useable.
In summary, it is a comfortable and nice place to stay but it could be easily improved with some cleaning and decluttering. We would stay here again and recommend it.
Nuria’s apartment was exactly as depicted online: clean, comfortably furnished, inviting, convenient, happily decorated. The kitchen was well-equipped, and the apartment was more than adequately stocked with all basic cleaning necessities.
The location is also excellent, only about 5 minutes’ walk from the helpful Metro Line 3 and about 10-15 minutes by foot from the Passeig de Gràcia. If you’re a walker, you can explore much of the part of the city most of interest to tourists, and if not, and for longer journeys, you’re close to public transportation. Shops, a number of bars and restaurants, a small supermarket, and one of Barcelona's enclosed public markets, the Mercat de la Llibertat, are also about 5 minutes away by foot.
Nuria was a *wonderful* host. She was very quickly, helpfully, and cheerfully responsive to our inquiries. We were very grateful for her advice, generosity of spirit, and great warmth. We would very gladly be her guest again!
It has been a pleausure to have Phil and his partner in our place in Barcelona. Everything was easy and Phil was really helpful and responsable with the reservation. The apartment was spotless when he left it. I highly recomend him as a wonderful host. Thanks a lot Phil to stay with us
