Our kids, who enjoy camping, had a great time staying in the wagon and playing with the other kids. It was one of the highlights for them of our time in the area.
Sharons space is a festive bohemian family camping space, located right at the base of the beautiful Burren hills. When we arrived the place seemed a little scattered only because there was a childrens birthday the day before we arrived. Had trouble finding space in the communal kitchen for our food, although space was immediatley made, and kitchen was reorganized providing us sufficient space. Sharon is a warm and wonderful host and was a joy to chat with. The sweet cabins are clean and fitted with cozy mattress and comforters. It took us a day to get adjusted to the quirks, though after we got settled we felt right at home and comfortable to hangout, cook a meal, and enjoy the Irish country side and company in a fun memorable space.
We really enjoyed staying in our wagon cabin. The cabins are brand new, beautifully painted and cosy, lit at night by candle lanterns--a comfy fit for a family of four. The campsite itself is pleasant, shielded from the road by hedgerows, with the most agreable dogs and ponies in residence. The atmosphere is laid back, easy to feel at home. Our teenagers enjoyed it and it is easy to immagine that younger kids would really love it.
This was our last stop before leaving Ireland, only 45 minutes from Shannon airport, at the edge of the Burren--a good location for exploring the area. We arrived at night and had some trouble finding the place in the dark, but Sharon guided us in by phone. This is a campsite--in addition to the wagon cabins there are several large tents and space for people to pitch their own. Three other families were there when we were. We had no trouble sharing the communal kitchen and toilet/shower--this could vary depending on who and how many people are there. For us it worked very well.
