Welcome to your perfect home away from home, the Gem of Sandra Lane. Whether you're here for a family vacation or a business trip, this apartment has everything you need to feel at ease. Relax in the large family room or private deck and sleep tight on the king-sized bed in the master bedroom. This apartment also features a beautiful kitchen with brand new Kitchen-Aid appliances. It also offers easy access to all of Rockford's top attractions, dining, and shopping.
The space
THE SPACE:
The place is half of a side-by-side duplex where the two units are separated by a two car garage. No noisy neighbors upstairs and no shared walls make for a quiet stay. The deck is private, but the large backyard is shared. The deck furniture is not available during the winter months. The garage is not available for parking. As you approach the property, the place is on your left-side.
Sleeping setup:
The master bedroom features a king-sized bed and the guest bedroom has a queen-sized bed. Mattresses provided on the beds are Zinus Green Tea memory foam mattresses. Both bedrooms have sound machines available for use in one of the nightstands. The couch in the family room pulls out to a flat sleeping surface. The sleeping surface is not a mattress, but rather two couch cushions.
Unit perks:
- brand new Kitchen-Aid appliances, including fridge/freezer with an interior cold water dispenser, gas stove and oven, microwave, and dishwasher.
- coffee maker with coffee, sweeteners and sugar.
- essentials like plates, cups, cookware, utensils, and paper towels are also provided.
- cooking spray, olive oil, and salt/pepper are provided.
- free parking on the left-side of the driveway and on the street.
- the master bathroom includes a stand-up shower; the guest bathroom has a standard tub
- a hair-dryer and showering essentials such as soap and shampoo are also provided.
- towels are also provided, including black ones for make-up removal.
- clothing storage, hangers, an iron, and ironing board are also available.
- washer and dryer are available free for use in the basement
- several board games and puzzles are provided for use, including playing cards and dice.
Technology:
- a large flat screen smart TV is available in the living area.
- high speed WiFi is provided. The network name and password are in the unit.
Outdoor Space:
- the deck is private to the unit and it provides access to the shared backyard
- the deck includes a living room setup with an outdoor sectional couch. The cushions and pillows are stored in a bin on the deck
Additional info:
We welcome guests of all backgrounds! However, due to prior disrespectful guests and property damage, we will only be accepting booking requests from:
- AirBnB users who are "verified" and who already have positive reviews from other hosts.
- Guests that are above the age of 25.
- Guests who are not bringing pets.
- A maximum of five guests per reservation. Extra guests are not allowed.
- We value our relationship with our neighbors, so events/gatherings/parties are not to be held by guests. In order to keep the unit in excellent condition for future guests, we are firm on these rules. We apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
***As hosts, we have sustained damages to our properties in the past. Because we value our relationships with our neighbors and because we aim to keep the properties in top condition, we do require guests to have previous positive reviews from past trips. If you do not have previous positive reviews from past trips, we do require a fully refundable $300 damage deposit. The deposit is returned on your day check out when the cleaning team arrives and confirms the property is in good condition.
***Smoking is NOT allowed inside or around the property. If there is any evidence smoking occurred inside or within 50 feet of the property (smoke smell, ashes, paraphernalia, etc) there will be an additional $300 cleaning charge and/or loss of security deposit if one was collected.
***Note that if you are bringing infants/babies, the unit is NOT baby-proofed. (Furniture is not secured to walls, outlet blockers are not included, cabinets/drawers are not locked, etc.) You assume responsibilities for all guests.
***Note that I reside in the other unit on the property. I’m available to quickly respond to any issues or questions you have during your stay. I’m also happy to let you have your privacy during your stay.
Check-in Info:
- Guests who book will receive detailed check-in instructions on the morning of their scheduled arrival. All of this will be communicated through AirBnB messenger.
Guest access
The front door is accessible using a Nest Yale digital lock. Please note that the touchpad is not as responsive as a smart phone, so please type the code slowly. To lock the door from the outside when you leave, simply press and hold the Nest logo until the door locks.
