On Vrångö there is no cars and you come here to enjoy the silence, beautiful nature, singing birds and swimming. You reach Vrångö in 30 minutes by ferry from Saltholmen in Gothenburg.
The island consists mostly of nature reserves and is known for its birdlife. In April-May many ornithologists come here to see the rare birds. On this island you may find eider ducks and gulls, sparrowhawk and long-eared owl, nightingale and skylark. In addition, many migratory birds stop here on their journey. Several cuts are bird sanctuaries with landing ban from April to July. In the southern part of Vrångö archipelago you may spot seal. You often see deer and capercaillie on the hill just outside the guest house. If you're lucky you'll hear the nightingale at night.
Enjoy a morning swim as the beach is only 75 meters from the cottage. There are several other great beaches on the island, whether you like sand or rocks.
The cottage is about 20 square meters and consists of a single room with kitchen and sofa bed for two people and bathroom. There is an extra bed if you should need it. Wall-mounted flat screen TV, microwave oven, refrigerator, coffee maker, etc. You have a private patio and a wooden deck with ocean view. You can buy fresh lobsters and crabs in the harbour. A few meters from the house is a beachvollyboll track.
It's easy to get into Liseberg, Universeum, shopping etc in Gothenburg.
There is a small grocery shop on the island.
You need to do the cleaning by yourself.
No pets. No smoking.
Bedlinnen can be provided upon request for an extra fee of 100 SEK.
