The 2nd bedroom is smaller, and has a brand new extra long twin bed with drawers, an antique desk and handmade Turkish rug, and views toward the garden. The remodeled bathroom has HEATED Turkish Travertine floors, fluffy white towels, a shower over tub, a mahogany vanity and a skylight flooding it with natural light.

It is very well located, within a block and a half of the most famous and picturesque part of San Francisco – Alamo Square and the Painted Ladies, (Alamo Square is a gorgeous park with lush greenery perched on top of a hill, which looks towards the Painted Ladies - which are 7 beautifully maintained Victorians and have a backdrop of the San Francisco skyline)

The location has a WALK SCORE of 95!!

You can easily stroll (5-10 min walk) over to several of the hippest areas in town. One block east, and a few blocks north is the Fillmore Street Jazz District, where you will find numerous music venues, including the well known “Fillmore”, the sophisticated “Yoshis”, the swanky “1300 on Fillmore”, the popular “Boom Boom Room”… and my favorite “Sheba Lounge” (I love it because it has couches and a fireplace) You will also find several cafes and restaurants along the way. If you walk further north, you start to hit Upper Fillmore, where you will find high-end boutiques, restaurants and 2 movie theaters.

Three blocks west, you are at the Divisadero Corridor – which has dozens of cool cafes, bars and restaurants and the super hip music venue “The Independent”. The street also boasts several organic grocery stores, including the crazed “Bi-Rite” (patrons can’t stop raving about their ice-cream!)

Lower Height is also about a 15 min walk south, where you will find lots of cool dive bars and tasty inexpensive restaurants. If you want to walk a little longer (about 15-20 min southeast) you can also explore the uber trendy Hayes Valley, which is teaming with high-end boutiques, 5 star restaurants, wine bars and cafes.

Since the unit is so centrally located, it’s also an easy drive to almost any of the coolest locations in town (within 8-15 minutes), including the Marina, the Mission, the Castro, North Beach or Downtown Union Square.

  • Silvia's is a lovely apartment in a great location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and expoloring the surrounding neighborhoods. The apartment lived up to its description and photos. We came with our (non-mobile) 6 month old and found the apartment baby-friendly and easy to be in from that perspective as well.

  • We had a great time at Sylvia's place. The location is ideal and the apartment itself is sunny, spacious and lovely. The porch/patio areas had lovely plantings, the kitchen was fully stocked and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood has lots of great places to eat or pick up food. Highly recommend!

  • My wife and I stayed in Silvia's home while visiting our son in San Fran. First of all, Silvia is a very nice lady and very easy to work with.
Her home is very centrally located a block from Alamo Square and is an attractive and safe area. You will be very near many restaurants, coffee shops and neighborhood bars. At the same time, you are a very short cab ride to town.
The home itself is well appointed, spacious and exceptionally clean with every convenience you could ask for, An additional bonus is a covered parking deck and reserved spot. The views of SF combined with the feel of being in the neighborhood rather than a hotel, make the entire experience very memorable.

We would--and will-- plan to stay in this great setting in the future and highly recommend it as a great value.

  • We had a fun & relaxing stay in Silvia's apartment for a weekend in San Francisco before driving to Yosemite. It was our first time using airbnb and Silvia made it a great experience. She was very responsive and her apartment was super clean and incredibly comfortable & just as shown in her photos. The bed & the sofa were sleep-inducing. & her towels were very fresh & fluffy! She was a great host. & the neighborhood is very quiet. The little patios off the living room & bedroom were a nice place to relax too. We loved the location & loved walking through Alamo square on our way out for coffee, a drink, or dinner, or the fabulous Bi-Rite on Divisadero where you can buy great wine & food. Also loved Nopalito which is nearby. I would recommend Silvia & her lovely apartment & hope to be back soon! PS: the garage is a great plus with Silvia's apt if you have a car as we did.

  • From Andy: Great apartment and excellent location with all amenities close by. Situated in a quiet neighbourhood this is one of the nicest locations I have stayed in the city.

The apartment had all the latest mod-cons and was very comfortable. Silvia was a great host and was always happy to help and was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The parking space was also an extra bonus!

  • First time in San Francisco and I fell in love with the place, and that was due in no small part to Silvia's lovely apartment.
Silvia was very helpful and accommodating, it felt like a genuine home away from home, and is probably in one of the best locations in the city. Perfect.

  • We stayed at Silvia’s apartment for over a week and it was perfection! Great location and beautiful, very comfortable modern apartment that felt like home from home. Silvia couldn't have been kinder and more helpful giving us great advice on local restaurants, bars and shopping. We had such a great time that we didn't want to leave. Wonderful city and fab vacation made all the more fun by having such a lovely place to stay.

  • From Alex: I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Silvia's apartment! The open living area with it's tall ceilings and balcony access made it a great place to be. The close proximity to both Hayes Valley and Fillmore street made access to awesome restaurants, bars and shops effortless! I was able to jog round the panhandle in the mornings, but still stroll downtown on the weekends. In short, the location is excellent.

The apartment itself was exceptionally clean, and there was more than enough space for both myself and my colleague during our stay. The tasteful decor also created a pleasant environment to live in.

Silvia was a pleasure to deal with, always able to swiftly answer any questions. I would strongly recommend staying here! I hope it won't be the last time I visit.

  • We had a lovely stay at Silvia's! It was great to meet her and she gave us great advice on local places to visit. The accommodations were pristine and homey. Alamo park was just a short stroll away and is beautiful. 1300, the restaurant up the road was also fabulous!
    Thanks for having us Silvia!

About
Originally from the Bay Area, have lived in SF for over 13 years and still think it's one of the best cities in the world. I love to travel, and have been blessed with having the opportunity to explore over 45 countries! Both my parents are foreign (one is Dutch, born and raised in Indonesia, and the other half Spanish, born and raised in Mexico). So i naturally love foreigners and have had the travel bug since I was quite young. I also love to share my beautiful city with others. The city is so diverse - I never get tired of it's beauty - particularly my park up at Alamo Square, as well as other parts of the city including the Marina, the Presidio, and all the restaurants nearby my home along Divisadero and Fillmore. I hope you love my city as much as I do!
