The cabin was perfect for our getaway, the interior design was well thought out, and felt like a very good vacation home. All the appliances were modern and working well. Would definitely stay here again if I get the chance.
This cabin was exactly what we needed for our weekend in Tahoe. It is centrally located to the casinos and the nature walks. It is very pet friendly and has accomodations that help deal with the cold weather in that area. The kitchen was well stocked and so was the bathroom. The only problem we had was with the garbage disposal which made the sink clog, John responded right away when alerted about this issue. Overall I enjoyed the stay and I would reccomend it to anyone traveling to tahoe!
What a wonderful, relaxing spot John has! We were lucky to spend our Christmas holiday cozy in Johns house with our dogs. Super convenient location, great walk to the lake nearby, very clean and just the right space for us! I will definitely keep his place in mind on our next trip to Tahoe!
We had an incredible time in John's listing. It was the perfect getaway for our Thanksgiving holiday, and we really appreciated John's little touches - like leaving out toys for our dogs - and for being so responsive and available with regard to check-in. There is great hiking just past the front door, and the views are amazing. Overall a wonderful experience.
Nice, clean cabin; well appointed; super convenient to downtown (10 min walk to casinos, Heavenly village). Right across the street is a great trail (something out of Bonanza), about one mile to Nevada Beach, which is gorgeous. Dog appreciated the big backyard. Good value.
We had a lovely time at the cabin! Perfect for a weekend gateway! Very convenient location with a wonderful area nearby for walking. The house itself was very nice: recently remodeled kitchen/ living room area. The bedroom was also nice with a soft bed. Great place for cooking! The TV/ media center was also quite nice.
Lastly, this is a GREAT place to visit if you have a dog!! There were even extra kongs in the back yard and a big water dish!
I think that the ultimate compliment I can give is that we are planning to return.
John's place was a great place to stay with our dogs. The sliding doors opened right out to the backyard, which had a deck, table and grassy area for the dogs to rest comfortably. The walks to the beach were the highlight of our visit--we walked through meadows, over a creek, and through the forest. Our dogs loved swimming and playing on the sandy beach. If you're looking for a house with quiet solitude this may not be the place for you as there are neighbors close by; however, for the price and the ability to walk your dogs (and yourselves) to the beach, it's worth it!

John was a great host! We made a last minute reservation after deciding we needed to get out of the city for a couple of nights. He responded right away and told us he would have the place clean and ready within a couple of hours. We had a great time up there in Tahoe. We were a short walk to the lake and a short bike ride into town. We took a trip up to Grover Hot Springs and hung out in the pool up there for a bit as well. We even took a short walk up to Lakeside casino for some dinner and fun. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely recommend John and his place.
Johns little house was a great spot for a weekend getaway...TV..cooking utensils...very comfortable bed and nice linens....AND, best of all---the backyard. It's bigger than the house! We could eat out there while enjoying lots of flowers, grass and trees, bunnies and beautiful birds that I don't get to see in Phoenix--BlueJays and Red Winged Blackbirds. Very thoughtfully there was also a huge bag of bird seed for refilling the feeder so that the birds could continue to entertain me. I could've happily spent all weekend sitting out in the backyard.....and it was so much cooler than Phoenix!
