This spacious log cabin, built in 1927, is available for rent by the week or month from June through September. It is fully equipped but as natural and unpretentious as they come. Large center living room with vaulted ceiling and stone fireplace, four good-sized bedrooms (sleeps 8), two full bathrooms (both with a bathtub, one with shower), complete kitchen (vintage 1920’s, with new appliances), sunny screened breakfast room, large screened front porch, looking out on lovely rolling grounds with an exquisite lake view. Postcards have been made of this view. Linens, blankets, and towels are provided. Housekeeping and laundry service is optional.
Located only a 1 hour and 15 minute drive from the Portland Jetport, the cabin sits alone on top of a hill surrounded by 30+ private acres of field and forest, including old gardens and blackberry patches. Only a 3-5 minute drive to lake front beaches, hiking trails, the local marina (boat rentals, ice cream and restaurant), and public boat launch. Only five minutes from the town of Lovell, yet it is close enough to Kezar Lake to hear the loons call at night. Golf, tennis, restaurants, theatre, and other amenities are close by.
Absolutely no smoking of any kind in the building.
No pets (unless previously approved).
While arrival and departure times are flexible, generally arrivals must be after 10AM and departures before 2PM.
Our apartment rentals are family owned and managed. We live in the same 4 unit building and are available anytime to help or resolve any concerns. You will find the apartment clean, convenient, well equipped and comfortable. We are within walking distance to museums, fine restaurants, and the exciting culture of this small historical city. And only minutes to the airport, train and bus stations.
