We are a family run B & B in the heart of Inistioge village, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland. Our accommodation is over our pub, which is a true traditional Irish pub. We have a fully licenced Bar serving Draft Guinness, Irish Whiskies and alot more, we also serve Pizza. All rooms are en-suite, with t.v, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. We have 3 twin rooms and 4 double rooms. The rate is 35 euros per person sharing per night and includes breakfast. There are beautiful walks, fishing, golfing and horse riding in the locality. The movies Circle of Friends and Widows Peak were filmed here. Inistioge is very scenic and is both popular with Irish and foreign tourists. We are 1 hour 30 mins from Dublin and Cork Airports and 1 hour from Rosslare ferry port. We look forward to welcoming you to our home and this beautiful part of Ireland.

We could not pass up this chance to stay above a traditional Irish pub, and it fully met our expectations. (up to and including a very funny welcome by the local "colour" (email hidden)) Inistioge is one of the most picturesque little villages in Ireland (which is why its been chosen as a setting for many well known movies), and Richard and Annette were friendly and very intelligent and knowledgeable hosts. We really enjoyed learning about life in small town Ireland - don't be tempted by Kilkenny - spend a night or two Inistioge!
My mother and I had a lovely stay at Woodstock Arms B&B and we would stay again if we were in the area. Pros: Richard, the host, allowed us a late check in (about 8:30pm). After arriving from the ferry in Rosslare at 6pm, stopping for gas and money at an ATM, a late check-in was very welcome. The room and en suite bathroom were clean. The bedding fresh and clean. Loved the fluffy comforters and pillows. Slept great - it was quiet. Great water pressure for the shower. BEST breakfast we have had in Ireland yet (and that's after several stays). We highly recommend the poached eggs and toast for breakfast, but the yogurt and fruit was also delicious! The area wasn't overly touristy and it was apparent that the town-folk took great care of the village. The arched bridge and Inistioge walking tour (pamphlet provided by the B&B) were great too! Cons: There was a smell (mostly in the hallway) of deep fried food that carried over slightly into our room. With a pub below, we weren't surprised and just opened the window a crack (as it is October and colder in the evening) and we both slept fine. We awoke to no smell. That's it! No other cons! Such a great value for the money! Definitely stay if you can!
