Contemporary 1 Double Bedroom fully furnished main door flat in Edinburgh City Centre next to the beautiful meadows and minutes from Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street and all local amenities and all public transport..! Fitted kitchen with all the pots and pans and utilities you need to cook your own dinners. Plus gas hob.
The neighbourhood is cool with nice cocktail bars and wine bars all around and also the kings theatre and cameo cinema on your doorstep. Plus plenty of restaurants to choose from.
I have selected the accomodates 3 because it states the maximum people you are willing to allow to stay. The flat has one double bedroom, the 3rd person would need to sleep on the couch.
This flat has it´s own main door so no stairs to climb and no neighbours or any of their visitors to bother you. Perfect place for a short stay in Edinburgh.
Gas Central Heating. Duvets Pillows Sheets Towels, plus extra.
1 of the very few main door flats in central Edinburgh situated on a quiet side street.
If interested in booking for Hogmanay message me first please. Thanks
If and were comfortably possible could the tenants take there shoes off to save the light coloured carpet in the bedroom from getting dirty and also any high heels might scratch the hardwood floor in the livingroom.
Be respectful. Have fun.
Perfectly located and reasonably priced, also Scott was very flexible and helpful!
Scott did everything he could to make me feel welcome. His flat was a great place to stay for the weekend.
Scott was very friendly and the pickup/drop-off was arranged well. The apartment was clean when we arrived and was conveniently located right near the Meadows, which is a beautiful park in Edinburgh. The price seemed a little high for the flat, but I recommend it if you're looking for a simple place to stay.
Scott was there to meet us on arrival and was very friendly and chatty. He's really knowledgeable about the city and made us feel welcome. He asked us to treat his home as our own and this made our stay that little more enjoyable. As a first time airbnb user I didn't really know what to expect but I will definitely use this service again everything was so easy! Thank you Scott & thank you Airbnb!
Scott was very welcoming and was available at the property at the time designated. Unfortunately, the only good thing about the flat was the location. The photos do the place far more justice than is deserved. There was a damp smell throughout, the place felt generally unclean, various appliances did not work, there was a lovely large flat screen TV (which wasn't connected so couldn't use) and the blinds to the bedroom did not close. Which is probably a necessity given that it's a ground floor flat with a street lamp right outside, giving anyone a view into the room.
Good location and friendly host but unfortunately not worth revisiting and not worth the price.
Sadly this flat was a disappointment. I feel that the £70 I paid for one night was overpriced and certainly would not stay here again. The reason for this is as follows:
- pungent smell in the bedroom which came on stronger on putting the heating on and kept me awake
- musty smelling pillows, these are cheap to replace and should be made a priority
- Venetian blinds couldn't be closed properly and when we checked from outside anyone walking past from the street can easily see straight into the bedroom
- brown polyester satin bedding which didn't smell particularly clean
- Smelly and dirty kitchen, we had to eat ever meal out which we had not budgeted for
- kitchen sink is in an under stairs cupboard and had no lighting, in desperate need of renovation
- poor water pressure in the shower and a broken shower head held up by string, so couldn't be angled properly
- damp walls with plaster falling off in places and peeling wallpaper
- what appears to be blood stains on the sofa
Overall I couldn't wait to get home and shower, felt grimy and smelly after one night here. £70 was an extortionate amount to pay for what we got and I think £30 would be generous. Even cheap improvements like airing and cleaning properly, a lick of paint, new pillows and bedding, and a new shower head would go a long way to make this property better.
I am from Edinburgh I currently play music. My friends pitched in for my birthday and bought me flights to go away and work on my original material... Plus I have always wanted to see the west coast and San Francisco is the place I think of... I love my guitar and write songs or learning new ones is what I spend most of my time doing...
