We loved our stay at Laetitia's apartment in Rapale! The apartment has amazing views of the sea and mountains. It is a drive to the beach (20 mins) but we loved & preferred being in mountains with the breezy air and nice views. We were totally relaxed in the sleepy, small and quiet town of Rapale. We loved sitting out on the porch - the sunset is breath taking. The neighbor, Paola, was extremely helpful and available to answer any questions we had. Laetitia was also very communicative. We stayed in the summer and there were no problem with bugs or heat. It is breezy and cool at night and even with all windows open we didn't have bugs. The house is very well outfitted with everything you need for cooking. Just a few things to note on the apt: the listing says there is wifi but there is no wifi in the apt. There is also no wifi in Rapale (at least we could not find any). The closest wifi is a 20 min drive in San Florent. Also there are two floors and the stairs are really steep. It wasn't a problem for us but if you have any issues with stairs this isn't the right apt. The furniture/beds are not modern but it feels quaint and like you are living as a real Corsican! I would definitely recommend this apt.

Laetitia is very kind and helpful. Even if we never met she stayed in contact with us via text messages asking about the trip and providing very helpful informations. The house is big and comfortable for two people and the view from the balcony is breath taking. Inside there's everything you will ever need, from towels and cooking tools, to wifi. The only downside are the road to get there (you have to be very careful with a car) and the fact that the town is little and a bit far from the main cities (about 30 minutes). It is, however, in a good spot if your goal is to visit the north of Corsica like us.

A great place to be based for a week exploring the north east corner of Corsica. The village is picturesque and sleepy with a restaurant & a great swimming pool (free to use if you buy a drink at the cafe) so our teenage girls didn't feel too much at a loose end when we didn't feel like going out for the day. The house is cool and breezy with balconies and a view to die for! The kitchen is small but fine for one and the stairs very steep. St Florent is about 25mins away and a huge supermarket about 15mins away. Beware the windy roads and the Corsican habit of driving in the middle of the road!

Nice characteristic house with beautiful view in small village. Owner is helpful and interested. Swimmingpool in village (with buffet) is nice. At 7.50 a.m. the baker stops in front of the house, selling his bread. Nearest shops are 10/15 minutes drive. Restaurant 'tre fratelli' in the village is recommended.

Laetitia and her family were extremely helpful hosts and our time spent in Rapale was ideal. The house has a wonderful view and the village is remote, yet cozy, as it is tucked in on the side of a mountain. One needs a car, and the rounds are small and windy, but that is part of the charm as long as one is not prone to carsickness. Also, the village is in wonderful proximity to numerous walks, both in the mountains and on the seashore. We highly recommend it and hope to come back and spend more time in some near future. PS Our trip was mid-winter, and it is a beautiful time to be there.
